Gosh I don't have this much time to look into all this stuff but it's quite possible now that Will Muschamp is rumored to be going to Auburn.
I'd hate to lose Bud, if this is in fact true, we hope its only an interview. My vision has always been Bud becomes our head coach, and Torian Gray becomes our Defensive Coordinator.

If Foster were to leave, he would have zero say in who his replacement would be.

Just speculating of course but just to back up my train of thought 1) Have you seen A&M's secondary? 2) I would say it's more logical for Torian to leave for a promotion to DC than for Foster to move "laterally".

I edited the original post a bit because this is how rumors get out of hand. No one is reporting that Sumlin is on the flight. No one knows the purpose of the flight. The only thing we know is a plane flew from College Station to Roanoke. That's it.
The same plane that was in Dallas, flew to College Station, then flew to Roanoke, and will leave Roanoke for Dulles in just a little while.

Even losing Gray at this point would be a significant blow to our secondary recruiting which is by far and away our most dominant area on the field. It allows Bud to play man on the outside to force the issue in the box. It could cost us some big recruits immediately.
Losing Gray would be devastating but the man has earned his shot.

Probably won't happen, but if God forbid we lose Bud Foster - many people here will come to realize how bad our offense truly is.
A friend from the west coast was just saying to me that, "culturally you guys have been so bad at offense that you probably don't even know what a good offense looks or feels like".
It's not that I enjoy all the whining and complaining but how some of us can justify our recent offensive results while clinging to any glimmer of hope where ever they find it just speaks to our desperation. I dont need another offensive play to understand that Lefty should go, and I mean before our bowl game. And if Beamer doesnt feel the same way, then Im sorry but his time is up too. Even our recruiting hasnt made an SEC-drastic enough improvement to justify the faith.
Bud likely stays but realize that 10 win seasons are now 6 and will become worse if we don't embrace a little pride and raise the standards here even if you feel we don't deserve it.

Hey, say what you will about Gill, he has Liberty playing some of the best football in their history. In 2013, he brought in a recruiting class that included 5 kids from both Florida and Texas as well as 3 kids from the Virginia Top 30. He didnt fair well at Kansas but he has done really well with Liberty. They finished this season 9-5 and made it to the second round of the FCS Playoffs.
Yeah, I live in Lynchburg. They had a decent season. Still can't get rid of those dud losses (Charleston Southern). He's doing a good job. He's just not FBS material. He's what Liberty needs!

All a sudden people realize Sweat not committing isn't that big a deal, worse things can happen. However I think we should tell Nijman now that we will take him for d-line, and I don't think Bud wants to leave his home of Blacksburg and this awesome Defense coming up next season for Texas a&m. I have no problem with talk but I am a firm believer Babcock will do the right thing for us, let's all calm down. Dadi and Bud will be back next year and we will learn from this, that things can get worse than just someone not committing.
