I know he is erratic but man I love the Brewdog

Ditto. I haven't been one to jump on the blame Brewer theory. IMO, a QB can only be a good as his OL and receivers. Granted, our receivers did save him on more than a few occasions. But, imagine how good he could have been/may be with a half way decent OL that can keep him upright more often than not? That kid took so many hits, too many IMO, and kept getting up. When I heard him tell the OL as long as you keep pushing forward, I'll keep getting up. I knew we were winning that game, and if by some chance we lost, it wouldn't be because of Brewer.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I actually can't think of many times where the receivers saved him. That's not to say that the receivers didn't make some great catches, but that was usually when they were covered and the ball was put in a perfect place where it was either a great catch or INC.

Sure a few times receivers worked their way open on scrambles, but I don't recall many times where receivers made the catch on a badly thrown ball.

You make a valid point. However, I was thinking/commenting more along the lines of when the ball was thrown slightly out of reach of the receivers and they made good efforts to catch the ball anyway. I've always been the type to cringe when I see a pass play coming. In the back of my head I hear what my Dad used to say, only 3 things can happen and two of them are bad. Again, I never got on the bashing Brewer bandwagon, and I think he did considerably well, given the circumstances. I love his heart and determination.

every QB is saved by their receivers every season. Not downplaying what the WRs did because they played lights out, but it's just how the game is played

I'm with you on that score! He's the man....give him some protection and time and he'll get after ya!

Long live Rasche Hall

I was having my doubts, but not anymore. I don't see how anyone can supplant this guy now. He's the man next year. What a warrior.

What a freakin stud. Love that he references the fact that its a rivalry game. He's been here for less than a year and he's fully embraced the hate for UVA.

"he's fully embraced the hate for UVA."

Busted. I will admit that is what actually put me over the top.

Usually doesn't take long. I was actually less than a year old when I embraced it.

Leonard. Duh.

Apparently, my parents have a picture of me embracing it in the womb during an ultrasound...

Wait, what were we talking about?

He'll be the latest VT QB to go undefeated against Loluva

Always not perfect, but one tough little dude with a gigantic heart and a fierce competitor. We need more like him!!!

How bad must his back injury have been to keep him out at Texas Tech?

I am imagining a traction machine at a hospital based on his play against OSU and LOLUVA.

Kids got heart and balls of steel. I think he'll be even better next year with some more experienced receivers to throw to combined with better chemistry. I got the chance to meet him a few months back and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. We had a beer and he was real down to earth. I'm pulling for the guy.

I do hear he is a frequent visitor TOTS. I'd like to see him scale that back a bit, but hey its college I guess.

Hmmm...enjoys TOTS a bit, eh? I approve.
Starting to sound more and more like a man's man.

I'm not even a Redskins fan, but Riggo is, was, and always will be, the man.

He was so old-school. I wouldn't have been surprised to see him smoking in the huddle and drinking beer instead of Gatorade.

You look at him and think, no way this guy is getting yards on my D. And he proceeds to just grind you down.

Seeing as I wasn't around to see his playing days and all I have is stories of him/film watching him just consistently mail defenders Riggo has always struck me as a hard liquor guy.

I think everyone forgets he didn't participate in spring ball this year either. A full off-season with the team should do him some good
