ESPN Insider Jeremy Crabtree wrote this about Joshua Nijman.

Frank Beamer has made a living out of landing players like Joshua Nijman over the years. The 6-foot-7, 267-pound defensive lineman from Fork Union Military Academy was called by one college recruiter "the best-kept recruiting secret in country," and he shockingly only had offers from Virginia Tech, Miami, Temple and Virginia. Beamer and his staff were able to convince Nijman to commit to the Hokies on Monday. He'll enroll in January and could play almost any position along the defensive line; some recruiters even believe he could be a future NFL offensive tackle because of his athleticism. If he pans out as expected, this will be just another example of Beamer finding an under-the-radar player and having him become a special talent.

I love a good belly rub.
So we acted like ninjas to score Ninjaman
I see what you did there.
Well played
I really hope he finds an actual position. OL, DE, DT....
Just get him on the field.
Not that i'm complaining, but can we post paid content on this site?
No, nothing behind a pay wall should be posted here.
Unless you're Joe.
I don't ever recall Joe doing it. Especially as the proprietor of this here great website, I doubt he would try and flirt that kind of risk of infringement.
It's Joe's post
Durr.
I'll show myself to the door. Carry on.
Plus it's acceptable if you actually quote the source, and don't post the entire article, as some have done in the past.
Yeah, this is a fairly short bit and while a neat little read, isn't all that substantial or really tell us a whole lot of new information. Things like recruiting updates (uncommitted prospects) or exclusive news should not be copy and pasted.
It's an ESPN Insider article, but wasn't behind a pay-wall.
I don't know if it's fair of TKP to limit someone from sharing information behind a pay wall. There are copyright laws, but there are also fair use laws. Then there's a grey space in between. It's something I am going to read up on this offseason.
I hope is that next great sleeper, we need some good news.
I love how this guy ended up in a KFC commercial a few years later. His career really went places.
I mean.. Matthew McConaughey ended up in Buick commercials...
Are you really comparing Matthew mcconaughey. To the o face guy?? Come on now.
All right all right all right....
I didn't realize they were car commercials....
I recognized him in a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy. He played one of the main character's family members. I couldn't believe "O face Guy" found more work.
Sorry, I don't watch that show.
Hell I don't either, anymore. But you know....chicks...and stuff...
Right you are -- he played George O'Malley's brother on Grey's, back around 2006. Good memory -- I had to Google it.
Just how tall is this guy? I'd seem him referred to as 6'6" 265 and now in this ESPN piece he's up to 6'7" 267
Here we go again....
Hodges vs. Nijman in the Great Race to Eight! (Feet tall).
Hodges DNA ALERT!!!
It all depends where they get their data from. When he was measured, FUMA football programs, etc. The programs always exaggerate on player size especially in HS.
My high school's height/weight guy could barely see his hand in front of his face. The size listings in the game program were comical. Not so comical is the fact that this same guy drove the bus to away games.
This had to be in Southside va somewhere
So you're saying he'd make a good TE....
Sorry....I will see myself out.Again.
Dang and either Rivals or 247 had him at 6'5 before that.
He keeps growing with every article. Soon he'll be our first 7-foot football player.
First?? Bucky is 8' 14"
Duly noted.
he's already 7-foot 330 plus - look at him next to Searles! #photoshop #sources
sorry - 7-foot 6 350 plus
In all seriousness...WOW! Searles is NOT a small dude and this kid makes him look tiny.
those are both photoshop jobs to make him 7-foot and 7'6 respectively. Here is the original.
If that wasn't photoshopped, we should have offered the kid behind Searels. He was growing at the same rate as Nijman!
Nah, Coach Searels is just getting shorter.
Wow. I knew Searels was big, but I didn't realize he was nearly 7'6" too...
#ScrapSalad
what is with the hashtags all over the place?! #hashtag
It's called the Twittter. All the youngins are using it these days
His name is Yoshua now, according to 247
And likely also his birth certificate... Which I have not seen.... or stolen from his home.
