It took throat surgery to drag Frank into the electronic age.
There are still tickets available to the bowl game, just not through VT who sold their alotment.
Trey Edmunds and Jerome Wright are looking like they may be ready to play in the bowl game.
I am old and most likely, busted:
"I cant even remember the last time Virginia Tech had a losing record," defensive end Ken Ekanem said. "I dont want to be a part of that group."
He doesn't remember for good reason. He wasn't born yet. It last happened in 1992. Ekanem was born in 1994.

Woah! Dozier decommitted and we got a CB recruit? Did I miss these posts or are they in some recruiting thread somewhere. Also players being born in years that I can remember is a very upsetting fact.

Well I guess this puts an end to the speculation that Frank is purposely sitting out the bowl game to give Shane head coaching experience so he can take over when Frank retires..........

I don't think that's so much reading into it as just taking Shane at his word. Frank's a whole lot more firey and passionate than people give him credit for. He's not just some old guy sitting back in his armchair. He wants to coach and he's gonna do everything he can to make sure he's out there.

That was posted on hokiesports.com earlier this afternoon. Frank's doctors cleared him for the bowl game, he will not travel with the team. He goes up on Friday & will sit in the coaches' box during the game. There was no mention of whether or not he would fulfill his two media obligations during the bowl pre-game. I presume he will not, since he isn't going up until some time Friday and the game is on Saturday mid-day. No idea if he will speak publicly after the game, either. We'll know about 6 pm on Saturday, I suppose.

Great stuff as usual, Andy.
Important takeaways:
Frank has surgery. Frank embraces technology. We have rebuilt him; we have the technology.
The past debates of Fat Frank vs. Skinny Frank are now obsolete. The success of Fat Frank will pale in comparison to the reign of Bionic Beamer.
It just seems extremely odd to me that Frank Beamer doesn't have a computer in his office.
That's because in the new era Beamer IS the computer...the computer IS Beamer.
Some video to go with that:

I've been there a while my man
It's true. Dozier's out.
"fully involved" = fire.
"fully dipped" = magic.
Are we on the cusp of some magic fire going forward?

Can it be d) All of the above?
So Mike Barber just tweeted out a Shane Beamer quote that "he expects Frank Beamer to coach the bowl game" WTH am I just reading too much into that?
I guess that depends on what you're reading into it.
That Frank Beamer coaching the bowl game is a certainty, that there is a chance no matter how small he will not?

If you think that Frank's probably going to coach the bowl game, I'd say you're reading into it the perfect amount.
Numerous sources saying Frank Beamer will coach from the box and will not get to DC till Friday.

Tryout for Bud to walk on as head coach
