Question:
How important is Tim Settle's TV commitment to VT in terms of how this could influence other players to look our way? Could we build some momentum with this? I've never gone through the recruiting process so I don't have a clue

Keep calm, Gobble on

It can't hurt.

I think it is good rep for the program. Granted many of the players yesterday were either already committed or had clear favorites coming in, Tim's final choice hadn't yet been Settled.

Tim had been committed for a while, but this will help us tons with 2016-2017 guys.

For 2015, probably not much. For 2016, it will have an impact on NoVA recruits, which is pretty significant. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think VT has signed a 4-star recruit from NoVA since Ekenam and before that it was DW4. So, despite having some top-tier talent in NoVA, they've looked the other way.

Sweat would've been a game-changer though. If he committed, I think his impact would have been huge in the 757.

DW4=David Wilson? I thought he was from Danville.

oh my bad, I thought he was from Woodbridge for some reason. Not sure why. So yea, from NoVa we got Ekenam and the VanDykes. But all other recruits went out-of-state.

You might have been thinking of RMFW instead of DW4. Williams was from Stonewall, same HS as Settle.

"Exit light..."

Ah, yes. You are correct.

Danville is hardly NoVA.

It is if you look at the state up side down : )

That Geography will get after ya.

Greg stroman and travon McMillan from the last class were NoVA.

Outside of Kendall Fuller, Stroman could be our next best player. We gotta get him the ball more, good things will happen.

He's gonna break a punt return wide open soon. You can just feel it.

sign this kid up!

The kid could be even better with a quarterback that could get the ball out in front of him

I will say, though, I love his ability to adjust to the ball in the air and make the catch in position to get some YAC. Shows good vision and ability to locate the ball.

Like in the first video when he went up and caught the ball at the highest point. The CB fell down but Kumah landed on his feet and kept running. You don't see that very often, and with a later adjustment to the ball that doesn't happen.

I really like this kid.

A receiver putting VT as his #1 school, must be the Isaih Ford effect.

The Dude Abides

I know this thread is about Kumah, but has there been any info on whether Levonta Taylor's interest in us as well? Doughty has him rated as No. 1 in the state. Just curious.

Damn solid ball skills. #handeye
