I'm extremely excited about this past weekends recruiting scores. Settle is a big time commit, obviously, and Lawson is big time as well. With that, who else is on Tech's list? Who else do they have a shot at (realistically)?

Lmao! I love this. It's exactly how I feel about recruiting, unrealistic. Lol
Because, you know, why not?

Searels wants Isaiah Prince, but I think its all going to come down to whether the other schools have room for him. We are going up against Alabama, Ohio State, and a resurgence from Florida. Rivals has him as the #6 Offensive Tackle in this class, ESPN has it as #17 OT. 81st overall in their Top 300. He would be a game changer for Searels, he has two official visits late in January right now and my understanding is Searels is trying to get him to Tech for a third. Dont expect him to commit until Signing Day.
Rivals
ESPN
I mean, we can offer immediate playing time, entrenched as as close as you can get to a guaranteed 4 year starter status, playing in front of an offense that is in the process of bringing together a class that will be remembered over the long haul. If he comes here, you can almost guarantee him at least a New Year's Bowl appearance. With those other 2 schools, he'll be fighting for a starting spot the entire time he's on campus.
Darrell Taylor DE - unlikely
Victor Alexander LB- Current UCLA commit from Isaiah Ford's HS
Frederick Johnson OT- one time VT commit
Shelton Johnson DE- undecided seemingly a fsu lean
Those are the main ones that come to mind.
I wanna see two Johnsons in the trenches.
We lost our Wang....lets go out and get a new Johnson.
To go with our Fullwood.
That sounds, ... just, ... not right...
Barnabas Baning he is an O-Lineman that the Hokies ought to get a commit from.
I want this guy based on his name alone....
Are we actively recruting him? Does he have an offer? What's up here?
I don't think we are.
If we combine him with a new Johnson and our Fullwood, it could be NSFW.
Are there any JUCO O-linemen out there that we could get though?
We are in the mix for a couple who will be visiting this month. There's really not that much info out there on JUCOs until they visit/commit.
How likely is it we get a flip from Lawrence Cager? I know Dwayne mentioned they play them a lot and I'm assuming he's going to get a word in or two.
I'm still not sold he's 100% committed there
#Sources!
Actually, no. Just a stated opinion, and a pretty prevalent one.
This one is actually legitimate with #sources. Most recruiting analysts believe his recruitment is not over, especially with a Bama official visit coming up.
Then why commit early at all?
He wanted to commit on TV during the Army All American game
The "Hey, look at me" scenario.
Got it, Thanks!
Lawson just did the same with us didn't he? Apparently he had committed to the coaches a few weeks ago but wanted to wait for a big setting to announce it.
it certainly sounds like it from his comments, doesn't it? He just decommitted from Miami, and he's talking about how he has known all along VT was going to be his destination. Almost sounds like he knew he would end up here even when he was still committed elsewhere.
A little different.
Lawson decommitted then recommitted on TV.
Cager Committed to a school he probably does not want to go to just so he could commit on TV (supposedly).
I have disdain for the whole process. Just fax a signed LOI and start Summer practice.
I approve of this message.
Get out of the kinky pool and back on topic, you @$$holes /sarc
I let my Dork magic take over my hands.
Corrected... for the SFW crowd!
IMO
just sayin
Yeah I was only kidding with the #sources but it seems to have been taken personally. Have you heard if we're still pursuing Dalton or has he officially signed his soul to UNC? I heard he and his family were signing the necessary financial aid papers but nothing since. I know he'd be a really tough flip, especially with the hole at DC filled now.
doesn't matter if he's signed or not. without the LOI until he sets foot on campus he can switch I believe.
If he has completed the financial aid paperwork, its likely he is aiming to be an early enrollee, if thats the case than he is gone.
he is an EE, but again until he steps foot on campus he isn't locked in. That's my understanding at least. Same thing for sweat, but again don't think either are coming here so it doesn't matter.
Here is my understanding: "This past fall, the NCAA issued an interpretation to an existing rule that allowed senior football prospects who planned January enrollments in college to sign financial aid agreements that bound the programs with which they signed to honor scholarship offers.
Eligible prospects are permitted to sign on Aug. 1 before their senior years.
The agreements, not to be confused with the national letter of intent, do not bind prospects to the schools."
Yes, the new rule is a protection for the recruit. The school cannot back out of the scholarship offer at that point, but the recruit can still choose to walk away.
By position, we've gotten commitments at every spot except Wide Receiver although Coleman Fox is list as WR/RB. I'd be interested to know if they could pull off an Isiah Ford type receiver. Also excited that 8 of the recruits are listed as 4-star guys who can most like come in and contribute right away. Plus the Freshmen and Red-shirt Freshmen we have already in-house are full of Potential.
I would love to get a 6'5" or 6'6" WR
What about 6'3? We picked up Kendrick Holland last year, who I'm looking forward to seeing play
WR is probably the position most addressed recently and VT could afford a miss or two. Only for this cycle though.
True, between TE and WR, we're pretty set at the receiving spots for the next few years. That being said, getting complacent is a dangerous spot, because when you get complacent in recruiting, you have years like 2010 that just take so damn long to recover from
I would only say that we are set for TE through next season!
50/50. If Bucky blows up next year, he may go pro. Still, I like what Kline brings and am looking forward to seeing him at 100%. He is another "new-to-the-position" guy who had a knack for making plays as a freshman and can be a legit starter for 2016 + 2017.
Speaking of him, did Cline redshirt?
they are waiting for a Med RS ruling from the ACC. Papers couldn't be submitted until the season ended (i.e., post bowl game). UVA got the decision on Nicholson, today or yesterday.
These are almost always granted. The application process has become a bit of a formality.
Agreed, 100%. I was simply attempting to provide a full response to the question as to whether it's been granted or not.
Yeah I was just adding there's no real reason to worry it won't be granted. I stopped worrying about hardship waivers after DJ Coles was granted one. I think he kept practicing with the team all season, just wasn't 100%. I was worried the powers that be might say since he practiced it wasn't a legit season ending injury, but it was approved without comment. So apparently there's a lot of leeway given in interpreting what constitutes season ending.
wasn't granted for deon clark. would feel a lot better about the LB position if he was a r-jr next year instead of a senior.
What was the reason given for not granting it?Never mind. Found it. Insufficient medical documentation of the injury. Doubt that will be the case with Fayscon.
I am glad we got Raymond Minor!
I think we tried to game the system a bit with Clarke and got burned.
Wait, why must it be a medical redshirt? He is a true sophomore....
He played a little bit early in the year. One you step on the field, a regular redshirt is gone.
I would say the percentages are much higher than that! More like 80/20
Not complacent. Just reassigning priorities. Can't sign 4-5 WR's every year.
Glad to see VT has moved on from signing 10 "Athletes" and seeing who can do what after they land on campus.
Between that and actually landing OLmen instead of moving whichever defensive guys didn't look to crack the 2 deep on defense, recruiting certainly is a bit different nowadays...
Doesn't hurt that we finally have an OL coach that can actually recruit O linemen. I swear, Newsome bombed on every conceivable level after he landed Tyrod. It was like he used up all value to the program in that one recruiting cycle.
He used up all of his 10 recruiting hours on Tyrod ala NCAA games I guess
Maybe he kept forgetting to hang up when he saw the angry football face.
Agreed. We need to snag a few good WR's in next years class should we not sign any this year.
If you look at Willie Byrn Graduating and Josh Stanford leaving the program, we don't have a true 3rd WR. While Jaylen Bradshaw's name has been mentioned to take the slot receiver spot, there is no guarantee. What if the top 2 guys get hurt? what if the 3rd guy gets hurt. I know Bucky also is pretty much a receiving TE but we can't assume anything and losing 2 guys means we should try to get at least one this recruiting class. There should be competition between Bradshaw, Holland, Charlie Meyer, Demetri knowles and Kevin Asante and maybe some of the walk-ons. I hope we have some depth at this spot, a legit 3rd and 4th guys who can catch some balls.
You left off Parker and Newsome (assuming he gets out of the dog house). The top 4 receivers starting camp should be Ford, Phillips, Newsome, Parker. After that you have Bradshaw, Holland, Knowles, Meyer, Prince, Asante. I think depth there is pretty good, probably about 3rd best on the team after DT and TE.
Meyer could be that slot guy if one of the young guys don't work out. I remember LT3 saying good things about him during summer 2013 before he got injured. Between Ford, Phillips, Hodges, Malleck, and Cline, we will have a lot of legit targets.
Personally, I hope it is Parker. He is an excellent athlete and has good size. He just needs to put the X's and O's together. I also could see Travon McMillian catching short passes for us next year. That guy is outstanding with the ball - watch his tape.
There is also the Stroman contingency plan. Personally I'd rather he stay on D but if he can help us win by playing some O then go for it. He's electric with the ball in his hands and will have a return TD before too long.
Stroman is staying on D. That doesn't mean he won't be used in a special package, but he has shut down corner potential once he gets strong enough to handle big receivers.
I just want stroman with the ball in his hands as much as pissible. Even if it's just sweeps
Anything is pissable. Ask my dog.
Spelling errors are comedy gold on this site!
Along those lines, Joel Caleb lined up at WR a few times in 2014. He ended up with 6 catches for 61 yards compared with 22 rushes for 96 yards. So 21.4% of his touches and 38.9% of his yards gained were on catches. (Not counting the onside kick he recovered against UNC.)
Those catches were mostly (or all) out of the backfield on 3rd down early in the year.
actually i intentionally didn't include Newsome and Parker because all I saw were Jet Sweeps from those guys. I'm more or less worried about replacing Byrn who didn't have a lot of yards but that little play he does running inside and then running away from the Linebackers gets us first downs. Hoping Charlie Meyer or Jaylen Bradshaw can work that out. I'm fine with Carlis Parker and Newsome doing the Jet sweeps, it gives us another dimension and shifts on offense. But I think Parker at 6'3 and Athleticism can us more at Wide receiver. I'm also hoping Loeffler has some plans to make a few deep plays with Demetri Knowles' speed.
Knowles is just speed. He hasn't shown much as far as being a complete WR. I expect to see Newsome and Bradshaw in the slot for us. They seem to have the quick twitch speed that is good for getting open in a small space vs a LB.
The bigger concern will be if our QB can throw those inside slants and crossing routes.
Didn't Newsome catch a nice deep pass in the Spring Game out of the Jet Sweep motion? I think Newsome and Parker have a ton of potential to develop into quality receivers, they just didn't come into VT having played WR in high school like Ford and Phillips et al, so it may take a little longer for them to solidify playing time. If I remember correctly, Moorehead has praised Parker in the past saying that once he learns the position, he will be really good.
Parker looked good catching passes in the spring. Loeffler loved throwing a back shoulder fade to Parker as the closer for scrimmages.
VT desperately needs a consistent outside deep threat that defenses respect. Ford and Phillips do a lot of things very well, but being a deep threat is not one of them. They have neither the size nor the speed. Hodges can be a deep threat, but right now that's largely on paper. Defenses certainly didn't game plan as though he was a consistent deep threat.
Maybe Holland is that guy, but a guy like Cager would have been (still could be?) a very important piece to the offensive puzzle not just in 2015, but in 2016 too.
Yep, we need Parker or Holland to become Justin Harper.
I've mentioned it before, but Brandon Facyson would be really good at that role. Best ball skills on the team. First we need him healthy, but we are amassing the DB talent that might allow him to pick up some WR snaps in 2015 or 2016.
I would also like to see what McMillan might look like at WR.
Rivals had us a #20 recruit class for 2015 before the weekend.
I'm curious to see where they place us this week.
I have a sneaking suspicion it may have improved a bit.
247s adjusts automatically and we jumped 2 spots with settle and lawson to 22. Last jump over was Arkansas.
For whatever it is worth, Coach Moorehead just followed a kid named D'errin Wilson on Twitter. https://twitter.com/Dwilson_81
He is a low three star commit to SMU according to 247. 6'3 187 WR from Texas.
http://247sports.com/Player/Derren-Wilson-47660
Perhaps he is a target?
Also, I would really like to see the center position addressed. Eric Gallo is the only natural center on the roster. While I think Billy Ray Mitchell would be an outstanding center, for right now I would assume that he stays at tackle.
With the addition of Settle, you think Nijman jumps over to interior offensive line?
If Nijman does move, he has OT written all over him IMO.
I wonder if he could turn into a 280lb TE for us?
I agree - his video reminds me a bit of D. Brown. He has an OT body and the long arms you want at this position.
That's the type of WR recruit I expect we will find in the next month. Some guy with good talent and a bunch of mid major offers that we can flip. We need a guy with some height to go with the kid from Florida who redshirted.
Opening up Texas would be interesting. If you look at recent recruit trending, the Hokies will need more and more to venture out of state for skill position guys. Since about 2009, the Commonwealth has been very good at producing defensive talent, but abysmal for producing skill position guys (I believe Justin Hunter is the only guy who has made it to the NFL from the Commonwealth as a QB/WR recently.)
Russell Wilson?
I mean EJ Manuel, Mike Glennon, LT3, Tajh Boyd all were drafted at QB recently. WR talent has definitely been sparse though.
E: And it's really weird to say "since 2009." That's what, 3 classes total of NFL draftees?
Three years without producing a legitimate NFL player on offense is significant if you are banking on the same state to rebuild your offense. Virginia has not produced offensive players of any stature (Kevin Hogan may be the best VA QB that is active right now, and he isn't an NFL player.)
Can't forget about Hackenberg.
We just listed 6 QB's from VA and none are trending to becoming long time pros...
I see French's point.
How many QBs trend to be long-time pros? There are only like 12-15 really good QBs in the NFL most years period. It's not like Tyrod is trending to be a long-time pro, and he was an in-state 5*.
And my 3 classes comment I just meant that the only NFL classes in that time span you quoted are the 09, 10, and 11 classes. The only members of the 11 and 12 classes that are in the NFL at all either left early or didn't redshirt.
percy harvin, evan royster, torry smith, rashad jennings, david wilson, eddie royal just to name a few. sitting right in the middle as far as VA with 59 players in the pros. i only named those with big names there are some more but not as noticable. only GA, TX, FLA, OH CA (with conisderably more) and LA, PA and NJ had more current players in the NFL than VA. just throwing this out there. take a look here for a little more detailed breakdown (it is a bit out dated only last updated in 2013 but still)
http://www.maxpreps.com/news/J_G3Olz0lUaivTrWxlHrLQ/where-every-active-n...
Exactly. I don't think there's a single skill position (WR, RB, maybe TE) player on an active roster in the NFL drafted in the past 5 years outside of Justin Hunter. That's why we've often had to go out of state for WR talent (Antonio Freeman, Clowney, Harper, Ford, Philips, etc). There simply isn't very much genuinely elite talent coming out of VA at those spots these days. The ones who have, we've often gotten (McClease, Logan, Bucky, etc.) That's why I think the focus in recruiting should be regional. There are tons of good-elite recruits that come out of NC and the DMV. Supplementing those areas with the occasional Florida recruit should be sufficient for an elite roster.
This statement is so true that it hurts a bit.
Look at our previous year's recruited WR's:

2013: zero true WR's (Brandon Facyson WR/DB)
2012: Mark Irick (3***), Joshua Stanford (3***), Thomas Smith (3***), (Joel Caleb)
2011: Demetri Knowles (3***), Kevin Asante (2**)
2010: E. J. Smiling (3*)
2009: D.J. Coles (4***)
ouch.
Now look at 2014: Kendrick Holland (3***), Jaylen Bradshaw (2**), Cam Phillips (3***), Isaiah Ford (4***)

Whatever happened with Irick? I know he had some injuries and he's no longer listed on Hokiesports' roster.
Looking at those recruiting classes makes me cringe. Watching the games made it clear that the skill position talent was at it lowest point in memory in 2013, but knowing how poorly the o-line was recruited as well makes me wonder how in the bloody hell we kept the bowl streak alive these last three seasons. Oh yeah...
Detective French on the case.
Leg for a fantastic show....and actor...
Recruiting is a flat circle.
Sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward...
3 months ago i would say we could sway a SMU guy now with chad morris there and his offense i dont think that would be a good bet. JMO
Lots of offensive talent down here too!
High-powered offenses using spread, hurry-up and read-option concepts are the norm. These kids grow up with it and programs like TCU and Baylor have used this under-rated talent to embarrass the regional powerhouse programs (Texas, Neb, Okla).
Picked up this tid-bit from a free HokieHaven interview of Austin Clark...
Q: What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
A: My last game of my senior year, this year, for the last three or four plays, my coach put my little brother in. I got to play a few snaps with him. My coach put him in on the last drive."
https://virginiatech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1722706
I'm not a betting man, but I'd bet his "little" brother ain't so little! How many Clark brothers are there? #fullersoftheoline?
OT: Ray Lewis's kid just left the "U" and is headed down here to Myrtle Beach to Coastal Caroline. That team is losing a lot of players and recruits.
Ray Lewis's kid? Whoa! wow.
That's like Alston Smith leaving the VT program. I hope all the VT legacies stay Hokies for life.
Coastal Caroline is sweet Caroline's salty alter ego, or something. Yay autocorrect.
I didn't know Ray Lewis' kid played at Miami.
Came in as RB, moved to DB, played mostly special teams. Coastal went to FCS playoffs behind Coach Joe Moglia, former CEO of TD Ameritrade.
According to this article, he did not play at all.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2321029-ray-lewis-iii-to-transfer-fro...
Good catch, the article I read said "snaps" so i assumed( I know) that meant he must have played some kickoff return or kickoff. Wow to not even see the field at all is rough.
Arden Key has decommited from USCe and is rated as a 4* DE
Also this is a class of 2016 deal but Tino Ellis 4* WR has placed us in the top 2
Big fan of the last WR we got from Dematha (Cam Phillips). Hope we can finish the job with Ellis
are we going after Key?
Per 24/7, we offered him, but he's only visiting SEC schools and Miami in the next couple weeks, unless something changes.
Obviously, getting this kid would be Key
Dear Santa,
In addition to all of the cool toys (recruits) we have asked for, we'd also like some surprises!!!!
Hokie Nation
For anyone that thought we still had a shot at Cager, he's decided that he'll only take two more official visits, to Miami and Bama. So our chance has passed
He already took an official visit here, can't take another. He's been to VT a few times already. Not saying he'll come here, but that in and of itself isn't an indication of much.
Rumor is mama doesn't want him at Bama, otherwise he would be committed there.
EDIT: I am a moron; put this in the wrong place. HAPPY FRIDAY everyone
True. I moreso meant that if he flips it would be to Bama
True, fair enough.
Yosuah Nijman was rated as a 4* by Rivals. If you go by their rankings that makes 9 4* in this class, which I'm pretty sure that is the record and if it is not then very close to being.
Nice, that puts us at #19 nationally in their rankings.
It looks like the 2015 class is about done then other than a possible flip?
I was also looking back and realized how much missing out on Michael Barnette hurts now as well after he flipped to UGA
Any 2* Qb's looking to move to DB?
Rivals is saying Bama will "make room" form Cager. I feel bad for the kid who get gray shirted or has his scholarship taken away. Yet kids continue to flock to the program missing the fact many of them will not see the field when more talent comes in next year.
Heard some grumblings that one of the current commits may lose his scholarship offer...anyone got any info on this?
The juxtaposition between this comment and the one above it is just awesome...
I get what you are saying, but sometimes a scholly offer does need to be pulled. He's suggesting what some people are talking about on TSL (via Hokie Haven). It will be interesting to see if there is any truth to a scholly being pulled. Gaines is the rumor.
We definitely need some more DE's in this class, so hopefully if he is outtie 500, they will fill that spot with another quality DE. I am still optimistic that we can snag Taylor from Tenn. That would be a great way to close out the recruiting class.
Didn't Taylor's coach say that he was certain he will sign with Tennessee? I'd love to have him too, but we're pretty close to signing day and I'm not sure what will make him change his mind now. Most guys who announced a flip on signing day were probably flipped before that.
Couldn't a commit lose his scholarship due to his behavior? Such as criminal charges or bad judgement on social media.
Are you sure this isn't from the Dozier de-commit? I just saw something pop up about that the other day even though it was old news.
Pretty sure it's not dozier
We should just sit back and watch
Wasn't there an O Lineman that decommitted from UGA, 4* I believe. Can't remember his name and not sure if he's talked about anywhere else on this thread.
Any word on him or anyone know anything good, bad or indifferent?
Patrick Allen was a borderline 4* 3*, he looks to be between Tennessee, UGA and USCe, per 247.
http://247sports.com/Player/Patrick-Allen-26861
Ok so at this point it's safe to say we're just waiting to see if players flip to us.
could be a few more o line offers going out, but other than that i would agree with your statement.
I guarantee you there are workings going on quietly right now to get a surprise recruit or 2 as signing day approaches. Hoping for a repeat of last year's events.
A surprise OL or DE would be pretty awesome.
Looks like Gaines is planning on visiting Vandy and that his our coaches upset...I hope we can flip Taylor, but besides that I think its going to be a quiet few weeks till NSD.
Didn't Gaines tweet immediately after his verbal that he still planned to take his officials? I don't get why this is suddenly an issue.
He also has been tweeting out and to other recruits all things VT.
Yeah, exactly. If we didn't pull his offer when he "verbaled" to Florida, I don't think we are about to now because he's taking the officials he said he was taking the whole time. And I can't see us grayshirting a position of need. I think this is a case of hand wringing.
I am not the biggest fan of him taking OVs after committing, but it shouldn't be an issue, he was definitely upfront about it.
Ouch. Florida's numbers are definitely not skrong....
Tim Settle is now listed as a 361 pound defensive tackle on 247. Sounds like we've got another Bucky scenario on our hands.....
here
We've seen someone like that before:

And to think that Settle is taller, more athletic, has more upside.....
They keep changing his height and weight. But wow, 361 lbs and quick feet? How can anybody stop that?
Only the VT admissions office can stop him
Shawn Oakman effect on the admissions office then?
Coach Sercels just twitted out a welcome picture of some player. Any ideas?
Tyrell Smith. Early enrollee after prepping last year.
Knew it had to be an early enrolle. Just not sure who.
I thought it was Yosuah Nijman
Ah, you're probably right. Nijman is huge, so that looks more like him. I saw a tweet from VTScoop with a Q&A with Smith, and my brain just jumped to him when I saw Searels' picture. Forgot that Nijman was an early enrollee, too.
Good lord with all the excitement about Settle committing, I had temporarily let Niman slip my mind. That kid is a beast. Things are looking up along the front 4.
I thought I heard Nijman would likely be an OL guy for us instead of a DE/DT, not that I wouldn't love a guy like that clogging holes in the d-line for us.
Nijman is starting out on the DL i believe. He very well may end up on the OL though
That's what I've heard as well. He'll get his first look at DL.
With the current staff, I'm way more comfortable with them switching linemen to one side of the ball or the other. Just look at Wyatt Teller
Let's get this kid to VT.
http://virginiatech.247sports.com/Bolt/Madden-De-commits-From-Wisconsin-...
http://247sports.com/Player/Sam-Madden-27547
We're a bit of a longshot, but we should get Searels and Cornell on the phone with this kid TONIGHT. We're staring down the barrel at signing day but if we could get him down to Blacksburg we might have a shot.
Good lord that kid is HUGE.
Yes, please?
Sic 'em, Torrian.
PS I love that his decommit tweet basically says, "I'm decommitting because reasons."
hehehahahaAHAHAHHHHAA!
According to 247, he visited VT back in June. Don't see why the coaches would not try and continue to recruit him now as well.
According to my #sources Frank has a rule about having too many Fords on the team. Something about he doesn't feel like he gets enough mileage out of them.
Bow Tie or die
Mopar or no car...

=)))))))
He was on campus for one of the summer camps, he did not participate though. He's a good looking kid. I know this for fact because I was there. Although to be completely honest I didn't see much interaction between him and the coaches.
According to HS coach, Tennessee pulled his offer. Hopefully we can use Bristol as his chance for revenge.
I realize this isn't Feelingsball but it's pretty terrible to yank a kid's offer 2 weeks before Signing Day for no fault of the kid.
Yeah, even Tennessee fans aren't happy about it.
Think this seals the deal with Darrel Taylor to the Vols. No way Tennessee would tell a guy they don't have room anymore if Taylor might flip. At the very least whatever time we spent with Taylor should go right to Marques Ford.
I honestly think that Ford is as good, if not better than Taylor so I agree with you.
Do I want two Fords on offense and one on defense?
I'm not sure ESPN could handle it.
this deserves the green type of up-leg. LEG THIS MAN!
HOLY s*** I just einhorned it. LEG THIS WOMAN!
We're really legging #ALLTHEFORDS so it's all good :)
A leg for Sean Young. Laces out.
now THIS deserves to be green!
Well, having a lot of guys with the same last name that starts with an F tends to turn out pretty well around here. I'm just saying.
"Ford sacked the QB forcing a punt to Ford which was partially blocked by Ford which gave the ball back to Ford who threw it to Ford for the TD."
Idk where this relates to, but there was a video on ESPN about what some of the top UA AA players think about school facilities. Basically they were asked if work out facilities matter in recruitment and they almost unanimously said no because weights are weights and they're all way nicer than anything they've had before. Settle said the strength coaches were more important than the facilities themselves. So in case anyone was planning on sending Whit a check for a new weight room, you can save your money
what do the strength coaches say about school facilities?
Vix Alexander flipped from ucla...to gt
Just saw that, noticed he wasn't on the targets list or UCLAs list.
Wow! No to UCLA?...That, looking back at over 50, would be a dream school, to be honest.
This switch...I keep thinking of a Caddyshack moment..."We have a pond in the back..."

"or a pool..."
"Pond for you"
So Austin Cannon, just tweeted his de commitment from JMU to VT. Anyone have any word on this?
Believe it's a preferred walk-on.
6'3" 308 lbs! Damn that's a big boy. A tad slow though, perhaps a move to OL is in his future?
at any rate, welcome to Hokie Nation Austin
At the very least he'll be another body we can beat the hell out of during fall camp. We may not have gotten DeBerry, but we got someone from Atlee. So... yeah... awesome.
Nicknamed Skipper forthwith.
