Completely ridiculous hire by UNC, since Chizik's philosophy is a complete departure from Fed's. Very puzzling, until you realize that this is further proof that UNC has NEVER really cared that much about football. Ever.

We lost a great recruiter, but we don't know the effect on overall recruiting yet. If Whit brings in a suitable replacement for Aaron, overall effect to recruiting might be null.

If we ever hire a former national championship winning head coach for any subordinate position on our staff, from the SEC no less, I won't be complaining about it.

Chizik can recruit and is a heck of a defensive coach. I see him doing damage, especially on the crootin' trail. IMO it was a pretty good hire by UNC.
Their recruiting got stronger while ours got weaker. So yeah, it's something to keep an eye on.

Fedora has a defensive philosophy?
That's actually what I was thinking.
"Score more than the other guys."
"Put the same number of players on defense as the offense does until we get the ball back."

oh, and that said, I hope the whole thing implodes slowly so Fedora stays at UNC for a while.
might just be me, but I feel like imploding slowly is an oxymoron
