Chuck Hoover, Architecture '04 is VP of production at Schell Games. They're putting out a game via kickstarter called "Orion Trail." Think Star Trek meets Oregon Trail, pixelated graphics and all.
I'll hold off on replicating the whole kickstarter page and just leave you with this gem

OT but kinda not, there's am homage to Oregon Trail set in a zombie apocalypse called Organ Trail. It's kind of addictive in an Atari 2600 kind of way.
