Andy's prediction of this years coastal division champion ," Vt or Gt and Virginia is Virginia" . Like this and is spot on.
I definitely see many benefits to Shai and Marshawn potentially redshirting this season. Of course, I'm neither a coach nor an expert in sports medicine.
Also, this made me laugh:
Favorite quote:
"they [VT] like corners that can tackle and safeties that can cover...".
I think that describes what Bud and Torrian are looking for to a tee.
I wish the best for Shai and Marshawn in their recoveries. Shai is going to be a really special back for us I think; a very good all-around combination of size, strength, and speed. Marshawn is the bruiser who is going to wear the defense out and move the pile. Hope they can bounce back quickly, and if a redshirt year is the answer, then whatever is best should be done.
Liked what I saw out of JC at the end of the year, and we all know Trey is a reliable option when healthy. However, I REALLY feel like McMillian and Reid are going to make some noise this spring. The coaches have said McMillian really has that second gear and a lot of explosiveness, and Reid at 225 also has some serious speed. Looking forward to seeing more of them. This is also a huge spring for Caleb too; he really needs to make a move or find a role somewhere, or else I fear he will be way down on the depth chart. Hopefully he can find his niche.
probably a fullback but Stephen Peoples reportedly (Beamerball.com) has enrolled as a walk-on. Dude has some serious film. Very Elan Lewis-like (pre-injury) in my opinion.
I also wouldn't be shocked if McClease plays this year...good running backs don't hang around 5 years and he can catch it out of the backfield and make guys miss.
