Former Hokie, Jarell Eddie, wins the D-league 3-point contest!

Definitely cool to see a Hokie making a splash, pun intended.

...and even better that he beat out Seth Curry.

We put the K in Kwality

Yep, although, Seth is killing it in the D-league

We hold grudges for a long time here.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

We are a contentious people.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Is that even possible? He's killing it in the D League...yet he's still in the D League. That's like a 22 year old saying they're killing it in high school, yet they're still in high school

I'm the best way player on my eighth grade football team!

Since people are in high school due to their age, I would suggest a better parallel is saying a high schooler is killing it in JV sports.... which actually isn't that terrible considering they're at least in school/made the team. Drawing a parallel to Jarells age compared to the pro cagers, I think he's doing well for a freshman.

I was talking about Curry, not Eddie. I am pleasantly surprised Jarell is doing well in the D League, especially since guys like Malcolm Delaney, Jeff Allen, Deron Washington and Jamon Gordon barely got a sniff of the NBA and most would agree they were all better than Eddie was in his time at Tech. Seth Curry on the other hand, was an all ACC guy almost every year at Duke and the fact that he's still in the D League kinda says something about how good he actually was, despite how good his team was.

What about Dowdell and Green? They still in the nba?

Green is, he's still one of the last guys off the bench for the Nuggets. Dowdell is in Belgium this season I believe.

Dowdell has been in and out of the league. I remember a few years ago, SI wrote an article about him when he had just signed a 10-day contract with Phoenix. I think they may have signed him for the remainder of that season, but he's playing overseas now I would assume. Green has been all over the place, but like the above guy here said, he's currently one of the last off the bench for a bad Denver team.

College to NBA is not a flawless transition. Same for High School to college, or college to NFL. I take nothing away from his college career just because he isn't in the NBA right now. I mean, Erick Green just made it back into the NBA.

Who's your daddy?

this isnt directed at you, but i always hated that chant. Its not like Dell's kids didnt want to come to Tech, we didnt offer them. them picking somewhere else over us would have been a totally different story.

We offered Stef a preferred walk-on spot. Couldn't offer full since Ricky (Program Bomb) Stokes screwed up our scholly situation. Not saying Seth couldn't have worked it a little.

Seth went to Liberty for a year. When he wanted to transfer Seth was working him and Dad hard. He chose Dook over us! Can you imagine? What did he want to play in the Dance or something?

Dang, didn't know all the details you provided. Hasn't Steph said multiple times he wanted to play for the Hokies but Greenberg never went after him? Could've sworn I've read that before.

The preferred walk-on thing happened.

Momma did not appreicate the walk-on offer.

Wiley, Brown, Russell, Drakeford, Gray, Banks, Prioleau, Charleton, Midget, Bird, McCadam, Pile, Hall, Green, Fuller, Williams, Hamilton, Rouse, Flowers, Harris, Chancellor, Carmichael, Hosley, Fuller, Exum, Jarrett

That chant is glorious. It was phenomenal when Seth had such a bad game against us

"Who's your daddy?" is a good one but the "Teabag Paulus!" chant takes the cake (or pie) for me.

That one was also excellent. My personal favorite is the chant we (students) did for Marcus Smart when Oklahoma State played in Blacksburg and we beat them. Unfortunately its not for all ages so I'm not going to post it.
