It's a darn shame that the combine isn't in a part of the country that isn't undergoing the deep freeze this year. True that the combine is indoors, but still, it'd be nice to go someplace to escape the cold too.

According to the Combine Tracker, Gibson ran his 40 time in 5.06 seconds, which currently puts him as second fastest so far. I'm sure this will change, but it appears that he is going to be one of the faster lineman of the group based off of the other posted times. Finish strong big man.

Overall Gibson showed very well today, with a 1st place finish in vertical jump and broad jump, 3rd in the 40, and 5th in the 20 yard shuttle. Obviously it's hard to say if/how combine numbers will affect one's draft stock, but putting up those kinds of numbers shows that Gibson took the process seriously, worked his ass off to prepare, and left it all on the field. That's something to be proud of and I wish him the best in making it to the NFL.

I think this workout definitely gets him drafted. And although these particular physical skills don't necessarily point to on field success, I can't help but wonder if he maximized his abilities at Tech. I have seen progress from Searels' line this year that I didn't see from Grimes' line,

Good luck man, you have been a warrior for us
I will definitely be back to check on progress. Thanks, AB.

Gibson got a 5,06 sec in the 40yd. With almost 1/2 done that's puts him at #2.
Good Job.
edit: Gibson is now 3rd with 2/3 OL complete. He's going to show very well here.
edit: Finished 3rd with 5.04 official time.
I'm shocked at this. Whenever I saw Gibson moving in open field he seemed to really lumber along -- as though he had a bum wheel. Maybe he did...

Drink!
Eugene Chung is running the Olineman through their drills. Gibson just went through.
His time was just updated to 5.04. 3rd OA

His only negative was the lift. He was pretty far back from the leaders.
Am I the only person who had to google Hobart & William Smith?

My lady still doesn't understand why I was excited at how well he was doing....
Regardless good job Laurence. Best of luck
