Don't worry everyone its not as big as the last one, but I did want to give you a heads up about some saturation this weekend specifically Saturday morning. If you had asked me last night a lot of the models were pointing to 6-8" however a more recent trend has shown the deep layer of saturation break up a tad as the afternoon continues thus killing the precipitation in the storm. Instead I expect a light dusting (1-2") in most areas and possibly some ice in central Virginia and north Carolina
What I really wanted to give y'all a heads up on is next week. Temperatures are gonna be cold again. Not as cold as this week but think 20s, with the next system gearing up next weekend a few of the models love the possiblility of a massive snow storm next weekend. AGAIN this is an entire week out so models aren't to be trusted beyond 3 days, and as you saw earlier in this blurb they can even change overnight so I wouldn't read into it to much, but I will be keeping an eye on this one. Its not often, even a week out, that you see 26" of snow forecasted in the mid Atlantic

All I have to say is WOW! Also, thanks for keeping us updated!
So you're telling me there is chance?
I don't how you got so many models last night, but 6-8" is nothing to be ashamed of. Nice work.
NAM, EURO, GEM were all pointing towards an event, in the range of 6-8". Also that mega storm I was talking about has already moved according to the euro up to Boston. So sorry Boston but another 12-16" looks like it might be on its way. This also proves how quickly things change in models
hahaha
It's even greater because your tagline is "It was a catch." Lolz.
But why male models?
Ooph whiffed in that joke haha
I'm sorry, wut?
By 7:15 this AM we were getting about 2" per hour snowfall observed and visibility here dropped to just about the width of the street.
Drove the jeep to the grocery. Still had an idiot fly up my bumper, looked to be closing fast enough to make him at 50MPH in a 45 MPH zone.
Yeah we got a lot more snow quicker than I thought we would expect it to transition to ice this evening
Yea it only got up to 52 here in Coastal SC today, not happy.
I just had to push my wife's car (@*#$&@^@!^ Prius) up a hill while simultaneously digging out unplowed roads in front of her as she moved foot by foot. Took an hour and a half to go 0.5 miles. I'm moving to #(*#&@^@! Ecuador.
Looks like y'all shoulda stuck to your original models. 1-2" it was not lol
Yeahhhhhh that deep level of saturation maintained it was such a toughie to forecast
