Exum might of had the best tweet ever tonight

I know that he had his struggles early on last season, but this kid has the heart and determination like none other on that team. I only hope that he can return in time for August 31st.

Here is the tweet.

I would be shocked if he didn't play against Bama...

...Which may or may not be a good thing.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

I think he is a better option than throwing someone like Bonner or Manning out there. Towards the end of the season I felt that he had really turned things around and was our most improved player. In my mind he has the best shot of stopping Amari Cooper. Kyle is ideally a slot corner, and while I love Kendall what could become I think it would be asking to much to early to put him on Cooper.

Don't ever let the pressure exceed the pleasure. - Joe Maddon

Eh, I didn't mean that way. He was great at the end of the season, yes. I meant it may be bad because I don't want him to play with his injury at only 85 or 90 percent.

this kid is awesome.....i really hope he can recover in enough time to get on the field

tyrod did it mikey! tyrod did it!

Any word if he's getting that stem-cell treatment? I heard somewhere that Andrews treated AP with stem cells removed from AP's own hip bone, and it really helped the healing process, and that RGIII was getting the same treatment. It sounds cool, and I was just wondering if anyone had heard something like that.

It was a catch

"stem cells"

...and by stem cells you of course mean a cocktail of deer antler spray, HGH, and 'roids. If it helps you heal, go for it.

If the stories about Alabama are true, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

...I'm kidding of course...

???

What is this "can't beat em" bullshit? #BEATBAMA

Bone Marrow stem cells are cells that can become mature immunologic cells. They help remove scarring, reduce inflammation, and help the overall healing process. They're not embryonic stem cells, which are the kind the political debate is about. Essentially, Dr Andrews is just taking cells that help the healing process and placing them in the exact location they need to be.

There's no reason he would perform this procedure on one individual and not on another. So, I would think Exum would have had this performed on him.

An AP-like comeback? Let's hope so.

God I love this kid

This kid is going to make a difference whether he makes it back for Alabama or not. He is going to put fire in the team more than the coaches ever could.

YESSSSSSSSSS!

I LOVE THE FIGHTING SPIRIT! LETS GO! LETS ROLL! LETS GET OUT THERE AND FUCKING CRUSH BAMA!

Deer antler spray!!!

I repeat, Antone Exum is my Hero.

Did he have his surgery in Alabama, Florida, or local? Is he taking the semester off? Or just 2-3 weeks. Anyone know?

I believe he said it was in Pensacola, FL. Not sure if it's a few weeks or the semester, but I'm sure if you tweet at him, he will let you know.

Thanks. I was just wondering, mostly in terms of academic eligibility. I would think he would still have to be "in class" and passing this semester, unless there is some sort of health opt-out option. Since Dr. Andrews mostly works out of Alabama and Florida, I was wondering how Exum would be able to do school and have the surgery and recovery. Doesn't sound easy, that's for sure.

Should be able to get "excused absenses"

As long as he doesn't spend an extended period down there or anything, he should be fine.

One semester, there was a kid in a few of my classes that was out for a few weeks, the professors each asked for a student copy their notes and give them to the teacher, who would send them and any required assignments to the absent student.

That's worthy of a new signature.

I love Virginia Tech, regardless of the outcome of every game.

He's got the right attitude, and will be the heart of the team this season no matter what. I just hope he doesn't rush himself back to the field, before it's appropriate. He's got to reap the most out of this recovery. I could see him in the best case, splitting time with Kendall Fuller (or someone else) the first few games.
