I'm a big track fan and just got back from watching this in Blacksburg. My wife couldn't believe JC is a football player because he's so small! Techs pole vaulters were absolutely killing it today placing 5 in the top 8!
That is what I always loved about the pole vault. We would be running events adding points here and there, and then suddenly we would get like a 20 point boost. I would just say "oh, the pole vault must have just finished!"
Demitri Knowles actually did track this year too
As did David Prince, he was a long jumper.

What's a "60"? Is that MPH?
Ran a lot of track, never encountered a 60. Unless you count my 400m dash time, in which...I reached 60 quite a few times...that is to say, every time...let's just say I don't do 400m anymore.
They run a 60m dash in indoor track. There isn't a long enough straight stretch to run the 100m like in outdoor track

The track program seems to have been on a steady upward climb since joining the ACC. Was this just the men's team or is it combines men's and women's?
That was just the men's. The women finished 8th
Thanks for the clarification; my original title said "men's track" but based on the information available at the time the news was popping up, it wasn't clear and I didn't want to sell the lady Hokies short if they had won, as well, so I edited the title to be somewhat generic.
