LOLUVA Basketball takes another hit....

Justin Anderson was finally going to return from the surgery he had to repair a broken finger. He missed the last seven games for the Hoos and was set to finally get back in uniform this weekend. Well those plans have been put on hold as Anderson had to have an appendectomy today and is now questionable for a return during the ACC tournament. If unable to return for the ACC, it appears he will be healthy for the NCAA tournament but by then he will have sat out over a month and missed 8 - 12 games which could prove difficult for LOLUVA if he comes out rusty considering how important each offensive possession is to the Wahoos against solid competition.

They haven't really struggled without him, so I think its more of a more able bodies type of deal with then than anything else.

For as much as I hate UVA and everything about their athletic program, I actually feel pretty bad for Anderson. He's obviously very talented and was supposed to be a huge part of UVA's success this year. I never root for someone to get injured no matter how much I might hate the team, so I honestly feel for the guy. And it's not like they're really slowing down with him out, so I think they'll be okay. And as much as I hate to say it, I really don't see anyone stopping them from winning the ACC Tournament either. Maybe Duke will finally defend somebody and knock the BooHoos off their high horse, but other than that I'm not sure who can beat them within conference at this time in the year. But we can always hope, right?!

I hate UVA as much more than anyone...
but even I have to raise an eyebrow to the phrase "LOLUVA basketball" at this point.
Damn, if they are not disturbing me with that B-Ball team of theirs...

But, always the optimist, it would appear that we have a little something, unlike the LOLUVA football counterparts, to rectify the situation.

i'm not going to laugh at that.

He'll be fine. Had an appendectomy a couple years ago and really, the worst part of the recovery will be the stitches themselves. Everything is laproscopic so it's minimally invasive. Won't be able to run around this week but he'll be good to go for the Big Dance.

Glad it wasn't anything more serious.
