OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Grand Strand Virginia Tech Alumni Association and the Myrtle Beach Hokie Club invite you to join us for the Myrtle Beach Golf Tournament and Dinner.
Guest Speaker will be Lu Merrit, Senior Director of Development for Intercollegiate Athletics.
The event will be held June 6th at Wild Wing golf Plantation, Conway SC.
Gold registration is at 8:30 am
Golf starts at 9:00 am
Social at 6:00 pm
Steak Dinner at 6:30 pm
cost is 100 dollars for golf and dinner or 40 for dinner only.

Always looking for excuses to drag hubby to the beach. Golf tournament worked last time (needtobreathe Classic, Daniel Island). Conway might be a harder sell, but I'll see what I can do! Do you know if any former players will be there?
Conway is not that far from the ocean.
You're right. The traffic just makes it seem that way, I suppose. There are some really nice golf courses inland.
Use 544 instead of 501. I go from Murrells Inlet a mile from the ocean to Conway to class twice a week it's not too bad.
True, but it's best when I try to sneak in late night, or leave early morning to get back to the upstate.
By the way, have y'all made it to the Hot Fish Club down Murrell's yet?

I have not, I sometimes park in the little park next door to enjoy the view though. I'm not a big drinker so I'm liking for more about the quality of food/view of the ocean than the "party". Plus the name is just weird. But I will try it based on your recommendation.
Alumni Chapter President Dorothy Long announces Torrian Gray, Virginia Tech's Defensive Back Coach, and his family will be our guests for the upcoming Golf Tournament and Dinner on Saturday, June 6. Coach Gray will play in the golf tournament and be our featured speaker at the evening dinner!
