if you watch the videos of the top guys maxing you can see acree there cheering them on. i'd imagine he's still over 500 the last I had heard from him was 525 but that was a while ago.

I heard he's been single-handedly constructing the indoor practice facility. Well, with the exception of using Bucky's help for a boost to get the roof.

I've been friends with Carson Wise's kicking coach at Blacksburg for a while, and hearing him talk about Carson coming back from breaks is hilarious. There were numerous conversations along these lines:
Coach: "Carson, have you been lifting? What've you been working?"
Wise: "Bench, coach. And a little squatting."
Coach: "Dangit, Carson. You're a kicker. You need strong legs to kick. That's your thing, that's what's gonna get you to the next level, not your bench press."
Wise: "But coach, I gotta look good."
Coach: *facepalm*

Thanks Andy. I really liked this article. It's great to get the perspective from those around the program.
It's great to see Gentry as pumped with Teller as he is with Carson Wise.
Nice one, Andy. I've been wanting to read this conversation for a few years now.
I did not know Nick Acree stayed around to become a GA. Wonder what he is benching now a day?

Sam Rogers spots for him single-handedly if that tells you anything.
I think AJ Hughes would agree with the following:
Here is the proof:
