Trevon Hill tears ACL

Per a report from Evan Watkins at 24/7 (free):

Bad news for our DE depth. Hill looked to be a very promising prospect at a position of need. Now sidelined for the year before spring ball even starts. Sorry to share bad news on a day when we're celebrating baseball victories.

Trevon will redshirt and rehab this year. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Trevon strikes me as the type of person that will definitely follow that, "minor setback for a major comeback," motto.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Bad news! Hoping for a successful more than speedy recovery!

Well that's not good to hear. Best of luck with the recovery and I know we all our looking forward to seeing him tear up the Volunteers in Bristol.

Our D-line depth is non-existent right now though. They will probably either move Edmunds down to DE or kick Corey Marshall out to DE. Dadi and Ekanem better stay healthy or we will be in big trouble...

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

Get well soon, Trevon!

Fuck. T. Hill is my favorite player in the class. Do your thing and get well right, bro. Don't rush anything you don't need to. Want you coming back dominant.

Torn ACL's are so depressing. Players come back from them now most of the time, but sad to see a player tear one before his career even starts. Its gotta be a tough time and test a person's character to go through that rehab and come back a better player.

This really sucks! Prayers for the young man!

Had I not spent my weekend cleaning my room, organizing my desk, and getting rid of multiple trash bags full of crap, this would have been me last night.

Unfortunate but I guess it is incentive for Dadi to stay on the field and register triple digit sacks. Get well soon...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Well it's a good thing Tech signed a class of ready-to-play defensive ends in the 2015 cycle, and the two-deep at DE is ripe with talent.

That GIF pretty much sums up how I felt when I saw the headline via Twitter. Gut punch at our thinnest position.

jingleheimer junction is one of my all time favorite SNL skits! leg!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

I was just thinking about what a nice reaction gif this would be, and now unfortunately I found the right use. But it is a wonderful skit. Almost 20 years old.

Hate to see anyone injured. Get well soon.

There is nothing in the world like Thursday night in Blacksburg!

Ouch, that said he needs to take his time and heal it correctly. No hurry now, he has spring ball 2016 to look forward to.

The Dude Abides

Oh good, we're getting a head start on the injury bug this year.

BUT WHY DIDN'T GENTRY PREVENT HIS INJURY??? Bench Brewer and Fire Beamer. /s

I'm seriously questioning the quality of our strength and conditioning program when they can't even take care of guys in high school. smh. /also s

OH and it's somehow Weaver's fault

Please don't forget Sean Glennon either... If we could have just dipped him in Dork Magic earlier this never would have happened!

in Fuller we trust

At least it wasn't from basketball.
