I am always saddened that VT doesn't get any love on fan buzz....but finally we do.

I forgot about that guy from Baylor. He looks more like Bane than a football player. He doesn't just sack the QB he consumes their soul!

Damn straight!

...Virginia Tech was third in the nation in sacks per game (3.69) and they were one of only two teams to rank in the Top 10 in both adjusted line yards (7th) and adjusted sack rate (1st) on Football Outsiders' metrics — only other team was Clemson which was 2nd in both categories. All four starters return for Virginia Tech, and they figure to once again be one of the most dominant units in the country.

I am glad to see this.

Also, I'd like to meet Shawn Oakman. I wonder if he's actually a really nice guy. I wouldn't expect that he has a whole lot to worry about.

He worries about cold season, and specifically about being able to afford replacements for all the t-shirts he accidentally Hulks out of every time he sneezes.

He worries if hotel beds are both long enough and have frames strong enough for him to get a good night's sleep for road games.

He worries that if he gets shot, some innocent bystander might be hurt when the bullet richochets off his chest.

He worries if his last name might be a little too "on the nose".

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
