I can't watch those home renovation/remodel shows because I used to do that type of work (before I started studying engineering) and I get angry when those people don't know what their doing and are on TV anyway. I cringe every time I see the good-looking host hit something with a sledge hammer that in no way needed to be broken to be removed (ie toilets, mirrors, sheetrock etc).

I think it is funny. Last year Buzz had mainly VT attire on. This yr., nothing. They were showing his antics and laughing at them. One of the guys said, "you should get back in the box." That is what I've said all yr.

I went to every home basketball game from 1984 (one year old child) to 2007. My parents still go to every home and over half of away games. I think VCU has always had great coaches and players.

Sorry, I should have clarified what I said. I said this right after Brooks elbowed Russell in the face and acted like he did nothing. I use to pull for VCU nearly every game, but I can't stand their annoying fans anymore. They claim that VCU has the toughest players on the planet, and all of the big conference teams like Ohio State fear them. Living in Richmond all my life, you get tired of it. Their fans have think they are like the UCLA dynasty under Wooden and that Richmond, VT, UVA, other in state schools etc. bow down to them. It got to the point where I actually enjoyed seeing the Hoos pound them earlier this year and Richmond sweeping them in the regular season this year.
They make UVA fans look like the best fanbase in the country, and that is saying something. And it's not just me, people around here who aren't VCU fans are just tired of them. In fact after their game I went out to dinner to watch the UNC game and some guy screamed, "VCU sucks!" and got a cheer from the people at the restaurant (this of course after most of the VCU fans had cleared out.)
So when I said fake tough guys, I was referring to their fanbase more than anything.

I'm from RVA too and I have plenty of friends who are VCU basketball fans and VT football fans. I don't think that Brooks had any intent on that play whatsoever. I can see where you get them thinking they are the best in the state (up until last year they were correct) but I don't see them as any worse than we are about football and they are way less intolerable than the UVA fans that seem to spawn out of nothing when their basketball team is good.

Yeah man I remember my dad had season tix for the family when I was very young (like < 5) and going to the coliseum for games all the time. This was a while ago; my favorite players were Kendrick Warren and Lionel Bacon.

Yes, this. After their upset of Kansas in 2011 every game after that my Facebook feed was filled with nothing but trash talking VCU people. It literally exploded from right after the game until they lost and then it was congratulating over a great run, which was nice. Then the next year all basketball season it was bad and 10x worse during the tournament. Although it wasn't really bad tonight like previous years, so maybe their maturing.

Just read an article about why ACC fans should be rooting for the ACC fans in the tourney. Apparently each win can being in ALOT of money to Tech. Still not sure I can cheer for LOLUVA.
Yeah I heard this on the clubhouse with Kyle Bailey the other day. Basically each appearance by an ACC team nets each ACC team $100K. It is over a few years, but each time a team from the ACC plays a tourney game, VT gets about $100K to their athletic department

UCLA was a strange I clusion in the field.
Not a surprise, but I would venture to say they have the least amount of fans here for Session 1. (UAB/Iowa St./SMU/UCLA)
