I'm sure a few of you might've taken notice of OG Wyatt Teller and his love of Taco Bell after that story emerged from spring practice a few days ago.
It seems that this one has legs, prompting this fantastic tweet from fellow offensive lineman Wade Hansen:
Wyatt and I got some Taco Bell only 12 this time #wyattlovestacobell pic.twitter.com/Na4U1KOd5s— Wade Hansen (@WadeThor95) April 15, 2015
As someone that spent a fair bit of time within that very Blacksburg Taco Bell location, this warms my heart. I hope the offensive line lets us know every time they visit from now on.

If you are within a 10 mile radius of Blacksburg, you'll know...
Hokie Defense has the LUNCH PAIL...
Hokie Offensive Line has the:

Better yet...
Made my fair share of visits there during my time as well. Before and after the renovation. We may have even walked through the snow to get there from our apartment on North Main. Oh, college.
I only went there when they gave you those free coupons when you sold your books back. That was a great day of the year: classes were done, a few dollars in your pocket, and free food. The college trifecta.
Does the Blacksburg Taco Bell still close ridiculously early for a Taco Bell? In my day (97-02) it shut down at like 10 pm. This was a bit of culture shock as I was accustomed to making a run for the border around 1 am on weekends in my hometown.
1 am - run for the border
1:30 am - run for the toilet
Dang, you beat me to the joke. Great minds, I suppose.
Taco Bell is like banging an ex-girlfriend. It feels great at the time but you feel like shit quickly after.
LOL! Logged in just to give this comment a leg
Definitely doesn't close that early anymore
How long till TKP is sponsored by taco bell?
Taco Bell's social media team is amazing. It shouldn't take long before they react (sponsorship, I don't know, but I'd be surprised if they didn't respond via tweet, etc.)
They need to tread lightly with an NCAA student athlete involved. They can't even send him coupons for free burritos.
No instagram pics of Wyatt sitting beside a stack of Taco Bell burritos?
Why it's like the NCAA will do anything about it.
touche, but they can just be their normal sarcastic/hipster selves w/o offering anything.
How long til the Blacksburg Taco Bell is sponsored by TKP??
You know, it just occurred to me that if Teller and Hansen were to go to Charlottesville to eat Taco Bell all the time, they'd probably get more tickets to LOLUVA football games than fans at their spring game.
There was a Taco Bell special, right? One where you buy a meal and get a free ticket to a home football game?
Teller looks angry with that burrito...
Which is scary; that's actually his happy, well-fed face.
I like my offensive lineman like Teller likes his burritos: beefed up
He is prime for an endorsement deal in 2 years
I tried one of those beefy Fritos burritos but without the crap nacho cheese. I will say not bad, especially with the fire sauce. It also would be a good way to lack on some weight, with the rice in that thing it's like a mini chipotle burrito.
The nacho cheese sauce is the best thing there, shut your mouth!
I tried to walk through their drive through once to order food when i was drunk. Two guys and a girl employee walked out of the janitors closet. Dont know what they were doing in there. They called the cops so I ran away. Good times in college.
they called the cops just because you were doing a drunk walk-thru order? dick move Taco Bell. I used to do that with the McD during high school and they provided service every damn time.
How long ago was that? Most McDs I've been around have a pretty strict no car no drive-through policy
when you're the only fast food joint in a small desert town you're going to be a place for high school kids to hang out at and since nearly everyone that worked there was either a student or former student taking a drunken walk-thru order was just another Tuesday night. so special circumstances for sure.
still dick move to call the cops though unless you are harassing them or causing damage.
Devil's advocate. There's more than a handful of stories I tell about things that happened when I was drunk where I don't do 100% full disclosure of my own actions. Not saying that's the case here, but there's a lot of backstory missing.
You left out the fact that you weren't wearing any pants?
#teamnopants
no backstory necessary. HS kids drank sometimes, we got hungry, went to McD's who were open late, did drunk walk-thru. It was not a big town.
Not you. OP who got cops called on him after Taco Bell employees finished having a threesome in the broom closet.
good point. my bad. It makes a lot more sense that way, which is obviously why I didn't catch on
Guy that lived across the hall in Berryfield from us worked there. When he was manning the drive thru... Those were the days.
I also have been very inebriated in that establishment. I also have done things I regret in there.
Good friend and I went there after the famous non-game, lightning striking Lee Corso's car, rained on and wet, cancelled GT game. There were essentially no other patrons except several GT fans who left before we did. When we went out to the car, we found all of our VT/Hokie magnets stolen, and yes, they were there when we went in. While the evidence was circumstantial, I'll admit, subsequent thefts by GT fans of VT stuff left me convinced that some GT fans are just low down common thieves. Not bad enough to elevate them into hated 'hoo status, but I'll never turn my back on them again, or let them into my house.
Speaking of Mexican food...
Exum's Twitter is hilarious with all of the antics with Shane's kids. VT family, indeed.
I miss El Rod's. Please tell me that place still exists.
There is a video of that quote on his Instagram. Its pretty cool that he comes to visit Shane and family still. Also El Rod's is still there, in fact there are two now; one in the same place as Bull and Bones
He was babysitting the other night for the Beamers. .
