WOW. I guess there are no restrictions when a guy graduates and transfers for grad school.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

That's wierd. I always figured the ACC transfer rule would still apply (must sit 2 years)

We had a football player transfer to GT who played right away, but that was due to a family hardship waiver

Wiley, Brown, Russell, Drakeford, Gray, Banks, Prioleau, Charleton, Midget, Bird, McCadam, Pile, Hall, Green, Fuller, Williams, Hamilton, Rouse, Flowers, Harris, Chancellor, Carmichael, Hosley, Fuller, Exum, Jarrett

Who was it? I'm just curious

Put in Donlon

Mario Edwards????? Wasn't that his name? He played (redshirted) his freshman year in the '07ish range, and then transferred to GTECH in the '08ish range...

only true if VT doesn't have his major/degree he is going to GT for otherwise VT would have to bless it

Should be easy. Many schools have MBA programs. Tech does not for whatever reason.

But aren't there? Pretty sure Brewer wasn't allowed to go to another Big 12 school, but don't quote me on that

I think Brewer's restrictions (no Big 12 or Texas schools) were set by Texas Tech

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

YOU CAN DO THAT!!!!!

Well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Oh...wait

Well, this sucks big time.

Hope the boys work on that 3 point defense!

As much as I loved the offense Smith brought, he was such a liability on defense, still he was a fun kid to watch once he passed half court. Actually happy he stayed in the ACC so we can keep tabs on him.

Always choose joy.

....so pencil in GT for a tourney bid.

Sweet 16, really

I just sit on my couch and b*tch. - HokieChemE2016

With Adam having a performance for the ages.

He transferred to Georgia Tech? WHAT A NERD!!!

If this is true/ legal why the hell did we not go after Russell Wilson in 2011 ( Tyrod's first year gone)??? People talk how that team would have been top 5 with Tyrod...

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

Yeah, I'll bet with Wilson that team could have gone to the Sugar Bowl...

And possibly would've won it in OT with a great CATCH

We did.....

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

Meanwhile, Seth Allen is now allowed to play and Buzz is still coaching VT. I'll take the trade off.
Future is bright!

Fuck. Fuck dmmit.

So we traded Adam Smith to Georgia Tech for a 7' post player????? I'LL TAKE 20

He wanted to play at a place where 2 acc wins is the norm. Like VT until next year

Meh, Polyteching >>> single teching

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Anybody believe Smith was pushed out by Buzz? A friend of mine believes he was, I expressed my doubts.

I believe the conversation went something like this.....

Buzz: Adam you had a great year this year, and quite frankly we wouldn't have won any games in the ACC without you. However with you graduating this semester, your scholarship will no longer be available, if you want to remain here as a walk on we would love to have you, if you want to seek a transfer I will help you find the best place for you, no matter what school that is or what conference they play in.

Adam: I am going to transfer.

Were you a fly on the wall? :-)

He didn't steal a bunch of T's on his way out of town did he?
