Check out what some of the meteorology students are doing out west right now!
Also follow them @hokiestorm on twitter. Today is the class's first real day of chasing and I'm sure well hear about it soon, but my good friends in the stormcruzzer caught two incredible cells yesterday.

the Stormcruzzer is noticeably devoid of a VT sticker... jk
thanks for the post. storm chasing has always been an interest and I'm not ashamed to admit that it came from the movie Twister.
I am glad there are men and women who are willing to do this in the name of science but for me, that would be a big NOPE!!
that's pretty awesome. always been fascinated with this kinda stuff since Twister.
"Another cow!!!"
"I think that was the same one"
Saw that movie soon after it came out in '96. I was 6 at the time and developed a phobia of any kind of storm for years after
Thank you for making me feel old now, I graduated High School the year you turned 6. Let me go get my walker, I think I broke a hip writing this.....
And I graduated H.S. when you were approximately two. Pass the fiber, please.
I graduated the year he turned 5. All us Old Poeple should go to the Filling station and get a pop and discuss why we will tolerate no shenanigans on our lawn and which high blood pressure medicine makes us the least drowsy!

OK, I graduated in '68, and the only reason I'm driving a Buick is that my mother in law gave it to us.
I think we have a winner. That was 10 years before I was born.
I saw the first ever meteorology class graduate in the new performing arts building this past weekend. Pretty sweet.
Heyyyyyyy!!!! I was there!
I heard the reception really 'rained' supreme and blew away the competition. All 'hail' the meteorology grads! You guys must be on cloud 9 right now.
The lightning photos are fantastic. I would say come to Colorado, but we haven't had many thunderstorms lately. Just unending rain.
