Short update from ESPN on 2016 OT Landon Dickerson

ESPN staff writer Tom VanHaaren caught up with North Carolina 4-star offensive tackle Landon Dickerson (http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncfrecruiting/on-the-trail/insider/post?...).

So far he has Virginia Tech, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn and Florida State as the top five but said Michigan would be his sixth school if he had a top six.

"The schools that I've looked at and narrowed out, I give everybody a fair shot and piece together the academic and football part," he said. "Some of the schools just don't make the cut. The top five aren't the only schools I'm considering, either, because Michigan is up there."

He is planning to visit Florida State in July and has official visits set up to Auburn and Michigan so far

Dickerson is planning to major in engineering.

Man, this guy would be a big get for our recruiting. He would change the whole recruiting outlook for 2016. Let's get him, Hokies!

What is the point of having a top 5 if you really have 6... I just don't get it sometimes. I would still be glad to have him

Can't help but think this gives us a....leg.....up on those other schools.

Not completely, Mich is a top 10 school for engineering.

Ghosts of Hand are coming rushing back to me....

"The Big Ten is always using excuses to cancel games with us. First Wisconsin. Then Wisconsin. After that, Wisconsin. The subsequent cancellation with Wisconsin comes to mind too. Now Penn State. What's next? Wisconsin?" -HorseOnATreadmill

It gives us a slight edge if he's being honest. Hand said he was all about engineering too, and then he went to Alabama

And Michigan is a top engineering school as well.

Hand said he wanted to major in engineering... then in sports marketing (or something to that effect and was ostensibly why he eliminated us)... then in engineering again after he signed with Bama...

Drink?

Last time we were in the running for a 4 star OT named Landon, it ended poorly.

He went to UNCheat, and we got his RB instead who only lasted a couple years before self-destructing.

He needs a beard, an axe, and a blue ox.
