Virginia Tech defensive end Dadi Nicolas took to Twitter Monday afternoon to: discuss why he returned for his senior season, issue a warning to Hokies opponents and to ticket passengers aboard the hype train.
I came back to school last year because I was told that it would be in my best interest to AKA "your not good enough" to be considered 1st .— Dadi L Nicolas (@YYBAQB) July 6, 2015
So I'm back to be better than last time and scarier to all QB's & teams against us!— Dadi L Nicolas (@YYBAQB) July 6, 2015
As a team I've never been a part of a team that's been more special ever.. We have ballers everywhere and we are working with a chip.— Dadi L Nicolas (@YYBAQB) July 6, 2015
To: All Opponents .
B Afraid. We are better than what you will see on film and we will NOT be content until It's over & we're on top !— Dadi L Nicolas (@YYBAQB) July 6, 2015
Given all the talent on the roster, 2015 may indeed be the season that Virginia Tech returns to its old ways, wins 10-plus games and contends for an ACC Championship.

Chills!
As Bryce Harper says...... "Where's my ring?"
I love this! The fact he said "We are better than what you will see on film" I'm sure can really get into OC's heads. That fire in him, the talent available, and Coach Foster... I can't wait!
Dadi was already very vocal on the sidelines last season...his head might actually explode this year.
Glad to see the fire burning strong in this cat!
I'm old school. No words needed from now on. All the rest of your talking will done in your opponents' backfields.
To be fair, he kinda ran out of backfields last season.
Dear ACC,
Better watch out. We're coming for you.
This .gif is brilliant and encompasses all of.my emotions right now.
Upvote for most interesting gif I have seen all week
This is inaccurate...the ACC has banned noisemakers. Flying deer shooting RPGs constitutes noisemakers.
If the ACC banned noisemakers, then how come we get to bring our defense to the games?
Because they're afraid of Bud Foster.
Blitzen don't play naughty list suckaz.
That would kinda take the fun out of deer hunting, wouldn't it? Would make more of a sport of it though.
Gentleman Broncos was such a great movie. +1 for the awesome obscurity
*checks calendar*
Sigh, only the beginning of July
Dadi's statement to opposing QBs

QBs seeing Dadi coming around the corner
Mike London:
Then the QB looks the to the other side and sees Ken Ekanem...
Which results in:

I remember when Corey Moore and John Engelberger would celebrate a sack by telling each other "meet you back at the quarterback"...well, i've been waiting over 15 years for this mentality, and it's back, baby!
From the SACKSBURG thread statistics - that mentality never left.
If I was any of the two OSU QBs coming off injury, I'd be really scared on labor day, They don't want to get sandwiched by the best DL in the NCAA.
If Dadi and Ekanem break the QB in half, do they then have 12 men on the field or 10?
I was there!
The sign back in the corner on the left.. was mine. I can faintly see my 13-year old self pointing at it from the front.
Me too!!
What game was this?
This was in 1999, ESPN Gameday came to Blacksburg for two games that year, Syracuse and Miami. I'm not for sure which one this is, I want to say Syracuse, but I'm not 100%. I was at both Gamedays though.
That game was Syracuse.
cmon Dadi
you're*
Whatup T.C!?
looking forward to seeing Dadi and the crew giving opposing offenses hell this season...Love it!
So you are telling me Urbie will need all 3 of his QB's on labor day?
Somewhere CFB is all...
Maybe he should steer clear of Taco Bell then...
Naw, he's probably dancing the night away!
Just ran through a brick wall, like a Dadi.
Dadi coming back for his senior season was great.
Dadi playing with a chip on his shoulder is even better.
He's gonna be a great leader for our defense.
Can. Not. WAIT.
Just remember "Always listen to your Dadi, because he speaks the truth" and most people can't handle the truth.
We always stay at the Hotel Roanoke for games so that we can see the team come in the night before and cheer them on for next day's game. Because I live in Massachusetts, I am better at identifying players by the number on their jersey rather than face to face since I don't see them on the news, events, etc. So, I will politely and respectfully ask players milling around the lobby "who are you?" Last year, my entourage (admittedly not as rabid as I am) could not understand why I was freaking when the answer was "Dadi Nicolas." He was very approachable and seemed pleased by my extremely excited reaction. The next day was the East Carolina game (heartbreak!). Still, Dadi did not disappoint!
I'm as excited about the 2015 Hokie defense as the next guy, but the engineer in me has to comment on the small sample size. I mean, the guy's only been playing since 12th grade or so. How many teams has he really been on?
Not sure how you view it, but as I played sports every year was essentially a "new" team. Because some people leave and other new people join. team chemistry, overall skill level all increase or decreases every year. I think this is what he means.
I agree with you, but I was just making an observation that his comments about never being on a more special team "ever" is kinda odd, considering that he only played one year in high school and this is his 4th or 5th college team. ( I can't remember, did he redshirt?). Most elite players at the same point in their careers as Dadi have probably been playing since they were 7 or 8, not 17. His sample size is small enough to make the use of "ever" seem a little ironic, especially considering the state of the VT football program in the last few years.
It's been awhile since we've had a defense this good to cheer for! Is it September yet?!
Yeah, it's almost been a full 7 months now.
