2015 Award Watch List Roundup

This will be an ongoing list of the players on each award watch list. I'll keep updating this until all watch lists are released. Once the lists start getting cut down later in the season though, new threads should probably be created. As we have discussed, this team has a lot of potential to be special, so I expect to see many names on these watch lists. In fact, I expect to see several names often.

Bednarik Award - Given to the top defensive player
Kendall Fuller
Dadi Nicolas

Mackey Award - Given to the nation's top Tight End
Bucky Hodges
Ryan Malleck

Bronco Nagurski Award - Given to the best defensive player as judged by the FWAA
Corey Marshall
Luther Maddy
Ken Ekanem

Kendall Fuller

Damn that's a strong line and apparently we aren't the only ones who think so

Outland Trophy - Given to the top interior lineman

Jim Thorpe Award - Given to the top Defensive Back

Rotary Lombardi Award - Given to the top lineman, includes OL, DL, and LB

Nobody on the Rimington, Groza, or Guy watch lists. Updated though with the Nagurski and Outland trophy lists.

It gives me the warn and fuzzies when Joey Slye nails somebody like that.

When the kicking competition was going on last year, all I could think about was having a kicker with linebacker size who could drill somebody when needed. I got my wish. Love his story, too.

Could you imagine if Jimmy Kibble would have been Joey's size? He would have buried people into the turf.

It's an advantage on kick coverage no doubt. I love how in the vine he sets up perfectly and attacks the ball carrier using his linebacker background.

Final watch list updates made. Nobody on the O'Brien or Doak Walker lists (QB and RB). Fuller named to the Walter Camp award.
