Tim Settle tweets that he is "officially a Hokie!"

Tim Settle just tweeted that his is officially a Hokie and will be reporting for fall camp.

If Settle can contribute as a freshman, that would give Foster a mammoth interior presence who could cause serious matchup issues as a nose tackle in the Bear and 30 front as well as another big frame like Ricky Walker to push back on power offenses like Pitt, Boston College, and Miami.

I think it's pretty damn good. I find it to be one of those one bottle nightcap/dessert beers. It hits the spot just right. Would probably do very well in a beer milkshake I'd imagine.

As a fan of bitter beers this sounds terrible to me.

I was at the Blacksburg chocolate festival last year (because I bought the GF tickets for Valentines day), and they had a beer garden. I was wanting a beer, so I paid to get in. All Chocolate beers. I hated every single one. Not that I think they are bad, or poorly done beers, they just really aren't my taste at all.

One of the best beers I have had was a 2 year aged sour lambic at a home brew club meeting in Spartanburg SC. I realize this is just my taste to like bitter beers...but chocolate raspberry beer sounds terrible to me.

Really? I had heard that DuClaw had pulled back distributing in SW VA a few years back, good thing I work up north sometimes, because that stuff is delicious.

They did because they were having problems meeting demand,
Talked with DuClaw a couple weeks ago and they have a new rep dedicated to Virginia.
She assured me DuClaw has a different distributor here now and they have a push on to capture the Roanoke Metro area.

DuClaw is authorized in all Kroger in VA and if you talk to any of the retail outlets you should be able to order cases quantities of any of their non-seasonal beers and their seasons as they are seasonally available.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Last night I decided to change my avatar for something more Hokie-like and came across this one in my file. Thank you, and it's really a sharp piece of work. I was at Tech mostly in the 70's and assumed it was something official from that era. I'm pretty sure I didn't find it on 247 since I rarely go there. What you see is what I have without the championship years. You should make more.

Most talented DT commitment since Bruce Smith. Now it is up to him to maximize his talent. He may not be an every down player initially (he has a ton to learn and the Hokies have a ton of depth), but if he maximizes his talent, he will shake the earth of defensive interiors.

This is amazing news! I hope/feel in my professionally unprofessional opinion he can crack the 2 deep. If he can have an immediate impact maybe that means we see more Vinny at DE therefore helping in the depth department. I also feel he is the human embodiment of Manbearpig so there's that.

Settle, who committed to Virginia Tech in January at the Under Armour all-American game over Louisville and Southern California, admitted it angered him when many of the schools to initially offer a scholarship expressed doubt over his eligibility. Some stopped communicating with him altogether because of the academic issues.
