VT Athletics is counting down to the upcoming season with some Top 10 lists in video form. This week is the Top 10 plays (or sequences of plays) in VT history. Here's the video:
So what does everyone think? Correct order? Missing any?

I realize it was the 70's but something about a come from behind win against W&M doesn't seem like it's on par with the rest of these.
NIcce find though. Very enjoyable.
So many Bill Roth calls....
Thought the same thing...it's going to be quite an adjustment...
As soon as the video started I realized I was in for some depression to go along with the VT football euphoria...
Yes but now we finally get some frickin sharks with frickin Laaser beams on their heads.
Excited for the future
Logan's Run at 10? Too low, I think.
Shmoney at 8? Nah. Well, the pick six was cool...that might be a top ten play. Cheating to bunch them, I think.
Nebraska definitely.
M. Vick was just on a different level. How did he NOT win the Heisman?
Because he was a Freshman.
Seriously, that was the reason he didn't win it.
That changed, huh...
It changed because so many people saw how wrong it was.
Seriously, it was absurd... The consensus was that he was legitimately the best player in football that year, and it really wasn't that close. But when it came to voting the Heisman, all the talking heads, ESPN and otherwise, kept going "we know he's super good.... but he's only a freshman, and how can you give the Heisman to a freshman?"
Don't get me wrong, Ron Dayne was a good player, but he got it as a culmination of a few years, and not because he was the best player in football.
Ron friggin Dayne.
Seriously, Fuck Matt Ryan.
I'd like to think that there are some GT fans out there somewhere that are thinking:
"Seriously, fuck Bryan Randall"
I would make #1 a sequence of plays and add Antonio Banks' pick 6 in the final seconds of that game against the hoos.
I was there and I can attest that that play was, indeed, one of our finest hours. I didn't come down from that game for weeks.
..making sure to show the LOLUVA coach trying to trip him
I was unable to see that attempted trip from the stands, but loved the replays. Joe Gieke (?) was the coach's name if I recall. I literally couldn't talk for a couple of days from my screaming. Went to the saddest party I've ever been to afterwards at my 'hoo buddy's house. I, on the other hand, grinned like an idiot the whole night long.
Edit: My wife didn't go to the game with me, watched with pals in Blacksburg. When game was over, they stepped out onto the porch for a moment and she said you could hear a roar from all the fans going outside and screaming their approval. She said it gave them goosebumps to hear that for an away game.
I know that this is all based on preference. But if you are doing a sequence of plays Andre Davis' 3rd Quarter vs. WVU including Wayne Ward's block should be on here.
I would also like to see DeAngelo Hall's strip and return of Roscoe Parrish. Those are two of the biggest plays I can remember as a Virginia Tech fan.
He said give it to me, Roscoe, give it to me!
God I'm gonna miss that man
It seems to me like the list was a little too offense focused, there were some really good Defensive plays/series that were left out. For example, Cody Grimm's 3 forced fumbles, 2 in the first 3 defensive snaps, along with 8 tackles and 2 sacks against NC State in 2009:
How do they have highlights from that game without having RMFW dragging the NC State player 15 yards to the endzone??
3:43 with NC State on offense... "Tyrod Taylor out of the gun"...
And around the 5 minute mark:
"That's his second touchdown of the day, but he'll only be credited with two." WTF?
The sports statisticians are fair people.
Jarrett Boykin hand size reference at the five minute mark. DRINK
Was blown away the DHall strip and return for a TD wasn't included from the 03 Miami game. FIrst points on the board in a game we struggled to generate a lot of offense in, plus our only top 5 win. Surprised...
Won't be our only top 5 win come the morning of September 8...
Really we should have 2. OSU dropping after a slow start against Navy was clearly a mistake by the pollsters
I always laugh at the BC fans throwing trash at Vick.
Yeah, for a moment I thought it was Morgantown.
How does David Wilson's kickoff return against GT in 2010 not make the list?
My horse sense is tingling...
HEY! PUT THAT BACK!
No wonder my horse sense was tingling. I guess I can put it back now.
Nothing from Miami 2003?
And side note: Man alive. Vick was a human gazelle with a cannon attached to his arm. Sometimes you can forget how fast he was until you see him practically leave the screen when he takes off.
I was looking for Kieon Carpenter's 100 yd interception vs Miami to lock in the win.
Where's Danny Coale's TD catch against Michigan in the Sugar Bowl?
Good God, man, how do you leave that out?
man, you'd think they'd pick better angles for these
