The Beamer Barn was filled with talented high school prospects.

Sunday was day two of the major recruiting weekend at Virginia Tech. Saturday was the BBQ and Sunday was the actual high school prospect camp. Koma will post in depth reports and interviews with the campers and attendees later in the week, meanwhile here's a first-hand look of the event through the lens of Twitter.

The Hokies extended a scholarship offer to 2017 DeMatha DE Chase Young.

Virginia Tech offered Kentucky verbal commitment, 2016 TE Dakota Holtzclaw.

2017 North Allegheny HS (Wexford, PA) offensive tackle Josh Lugg was in Blacksburg. Lugg is rated as a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite. Tech offered in May.

2017 Ocean Lakes running back Khalan Laborn enjoyed his visit. Laborn is a 4-star prospect across the board of all the major recruiting services. Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State among other Power 5 programs are recruiting him.

2018 Atlee WR Jebril Murray made the trip and camped.

2017 Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) defensive tackle Grant Gibson attended Saturday's BBQ. Tech offered Gibson in May.

2017 Capital High School (Charleston, WV) linebacker Dorian Etheridge had some facetime with both Bud Foster and Frank Beamer.

Stonewall Jackson senior safety, and 2016 Virginia Tech verbal commitment, Reggie Floyd made the trip to Blacksburg.

Floyd's former Stonewall Jackson teammate, and 2015 Virginia Tech signee, Tim Settle was also in the Beamer Barn.

2017 blue chip S / WR Devon Hunter had a great visit.

4-star LB / DE Jaquan Yulee, Hunter's Indian River teammate, and 2016 Alabama verbal commitment, cleared the air around his recruitment.

Virginia Tech offered 2018 Camp Hill, PA tight end Zack Kuntz his first scholarship

2016 blue chip tight end Jovani Haskins spent time with preseason All-ACC tight end Bucky Hodges.

#Hookies!?!

*facepalm*

great updates. I really appreciate these articles because I really don't have the time to Twitter stalk underage kids on my own. /s

-What we do is, if we need that extra push, you know what we do? -Put it up to fully dipped? -Fully dipped. Exactly. It's dork magic.

Beamer barn. Love it. Feel like you could go a whole new direction with a barn/farm theme. All the hokies on the farm go gobble gobble gobble...

It barely looks big enough to hold Settle, that kid is going to be destroying some OL soon...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

I am familiar with this book

Hahaha!! Thats awesome!

"Virginia Tech offered 2018 Camp Hill, PA tight end Zack Kuntz his first scholarship"

Damn he loots taller than Bucky, can we start spelling it QB yet? *ducks*

You're talking about a guy with the last name Kuntz and that's the joke you went with?

Hokies United l Ut Prosim

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

That's a haggard old man with questionable facial hair choices. Open season!

Edit: Is that a fu manchu growing in or not? I can't tell.

Bucky and then Jovani could be the start of a trend. Massive athletic Calvin Johnson type TE/WRS, and that would be just cool. Also, Yulee looks good in a VT uniform.

Above the conference championship banners, what are those numbers representative of?

I can't read them, but I'd guess conference championships, 22 Consecutive bowl games, 11 straight Commonwealth Cup victories, and other stats they can point to for recruits.

Now that it's all up, how did Bruce not make it anywhere?

It says in that hokiesports.com article that they are gonna try to work more of our legends up there in the future. However, do we need him up there if the real version of the legend is walking the sidelines most games?

Well Beamer and Brown are up there...

Torian too

The Dude Abides

Sam's not just on the sidelines, he starts at fullback.

My god, Haskins is almost as large as Bucky in that picture.

That high school is going to have one hell of a receiver on its hands when it comes time for Zach Kuntz' senior year

I would like nothing more than to have an O-Lineman named 'Lugg.'

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

Please make this the new standard in Blacksburg for future years. We have built an environment more than suitable to handle this and more. Keep pushing the envelope.

Row Z forever.
