Size, speed, an impressive offer list and a position we really need. This staff hasn't forgotten how to recruit quite yet.

You forgot something... He has an awesome name!

Edit: just realized I have 666 legs so I could use a little "Divine"intervention or I'm screwed...

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

This. Is. Sick.

Future Virginia Tech stars:

Divine Deablo
Angel Daemon
Ho-li Djinn

WR position is almost like the OL and DE right now, just stock up the cubbards please! Depth is a huge concern, would still like to see a Tino Ellis is a Hokie hat this friday

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Doubt we get Tino on Friday, but likely will get Patterson on Saturday.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

But if we should happen to get both...

Then Zohn might actually crack a smile.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Unpossible.

At this point I'd rather land Haskins than Tino but both would be sweet

Haskins is a tight end. We are in really good shape right now with him. Him and Bucky are really tight. We will land him plus whatever receivers added on to the receivers we have already landed. Plus there's a chance at another playmaking tight end.

Number 172 in the ESPN 300.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

This is a pretty big time get. His offers say a lot, now we get Patterson and this is a very nice receiver class.

I think he's underrated by 247 and right on the fringe of being a 4* type talent. Regardless he has great size and speed and has a chance to be an early contributor here. This is the type of recruit we need to land more of.

Yeah I'm not really sure what 247 is looking at. I'd bet he gets a boost by them before signing day though.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Hot damn! Can we make the Beamer-que a yearly thing?

I suspect it will be with the expanded staff. Also not for nothing but this sort of event is exactly what Beamer can contribute to post stepping down, just help make everyone feel welcome and show his continued support.

Same sort of stuff that Bowden still does fro FSU.

Ooh, excellent point.

Call it the BBQ: The Beamer-Bud-Quarterback recruiting committee. Get Lawson out there slinging burgers to the recruiticorns.

Divine Deablo is 6'3-- 206lbs. With a 4.45 40 yard dash. He is one of the recruits we are recruiting that I like more than Tino. I seriously doubt he red shirts next year and not real sure why he is only a 3 star. He is a man among boys on the field. As big as he is he still has enough wiggle to return kicks and take a middle screen the distance. He is on the skill level of Isaiah Ford when he came in. In short he may be my favorite recruit right now.

I am super excited right now about this pickup. He takes the eventual sting of Tino away.

Wow- MisMatch indeed!

Before we know it, he'll be burning past loluva DBs. Welcome to the Hokies, Double-D!

Wow!! Love the name!! Divine Deablo indeed!

Nice. I look forward to the many puns he brings.

Can his nickname be El Diablo from the Beasts of Burden?

Then we just need Magic Man

D. Law to Diablo has a nice ring to it. Great pick up.
Take that Ohio State!

holy crap--our dream WR class is starting to come together...we just need Tino to commit this Friday to make it epic...

welcome to Hokie Nation, Divine Deablo!

Tino is a great talent and won't make or break this class. He is more of a luxury at this point. We already have Kumah who if you haven't seen his tape is impressive. Denmark is a early enrollee, that is coming in to learn the playbook and push for playing time next year. If we land Patterson or Boyd and take a chance on Snelson then this WR class is up there with Morgan, Royal, Hyman, and Harper. This class is going to be ridiculous on talent at the WR position.

Why stop? I like luxury.

"What are you going to do, stab me? - Quote from Man Stabbed

Absolutely just letting people know if Tino goes to theTwerps we have a really solid WR class coming in. The weapons at Lawson's disposal will be ridiculous.

Yessir, I was just agreeing and giffin.

Possibly Holloway as well, but I think he may a track only guy in college when it's all said and done. He is a ridiculous athlete.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Holloways 4.29 40 is ridiculous. If he wants to do track and football I'm pretty sure we had a pretty good running back do that at some point.

However I don't want him to be another Demitri Knowles

247 Crystal ball is broken and Burden is on the job . Welcome to your new family Mr Deablo.

4 star ESPN 300....

Yep, the exact kind of kid we need. Ellis would be a great addition as well.

ESPN really likes this WR class. Denmark, Kumah, and Diablo are all 4* guys for them.

I tend to prefer 247, but it's certainly nice and it helps perceptions.

Shockingly enough, scouting is one thing ESPN tends to do pretty well. They're big, national, and have (yes, debatably) zero interest in any specific program (such as VTScoop for 247). Of course they still have their misses, but as far as recruiting services go, ESPN is definitely one of the better ones. Rivals seems a bit past its prime, Scout I think is still hanging on and 247 is definitely getting up there.

ESPN is 3rd IMO behind Rivals and 247. I still prefer rivals as I think 247 gives out too many 4th stars (ford/durkin for example). Anyone they rate as a 90 is pretty much a 3 * anywhere else.

Having said that I think Divine is probably the one they got right out of our 3 WRs if they gave him a 4th star.

Agreed. It is pretty much common knowledge that Rivals is now worthless.

Zohn doing work!

Charley Wiles is an underrated recruiter. He has a hand in landing El Diablo.

this is sweeeet. dude has an impressive offer list and anyone who is a natural WR at 6'3" is more than welcome.

"How you doin', Randy?"

Dude I don't care if he is the waterboy, with a name like that get him on the team!

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
β€œI served in the United States Navy"

Love it when we land a guy with a big offer list.

Seriously though... That name....

Pure awesome

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

That's one "Hell" of a pickup!

All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world
So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding, dang my dang a long ling long....

I'd still love to see us land Tino Ellis on friday but my gut feeling is we won't. Regardless, landing Deablo and potentially Patterson are a good recovery. IMO Patterson is the best of the bunch anyways... attacks the ball the best and has the best hands.

I was nine years old the last time those bow tie wearing sissies beat the good guys.
