OT: If you are desperate for football LFL on Fuse

It's not traditional football but it has it's interesting points. Surprised they are hitting as hard as they are.

Almost a bench clearing brawl, players throwing punches on the field, players are all miked up so listening to the players trash talk is interesting.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Every time I read through this, my brain says "milked up." I wonder why? I bet you also read Playboy for the articles... jk, it is actually decent football, suprisingly.

Something resembling football!

Though I will say it is crazy to think that even with this women's football has actually come a long way from a Super Bowl halftime stunt. I dont think it could evevr be huge, but I dont think it is crazy to imagine that within a decade or two a more evolved women's league cold be on par with the WNBA

To be honest, it was actually fun to watch this game yesterday. Completely removing the outfits from consideration, I would watch the LFL over the WNBA every time.

That said, the blocking was infuriatingly difficult to watch.

Agreed Ive seen some of the highlight films on YouTube. they obviously WANT to be out there and are not afraid at all to collide quickly and with bad intentions, even without as many pads as the guys. There is a lot to grow and build on there.

And hell looking back the early men's football uniforms would be thought antiquated and stupid today so maybe it isn't that different.

That article is eye-opening to say the least. The players don't even get paid and are classified as independent contractors, so they have to get their own health insurance (a supplemental policy is offered by the league, although it sounds like a lot of the players are not made aware of this). Doesn't exactly paint the league owner in the best light.

I have wondered why the LFL isn't more of a thing. It definitely captured my attention when I ran across it.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

I went with a group of friends to an LFL championship game (Baltimore Charm vs.... ????). We had a groupon (which helps). We had a lot of fun (we also got pretty hammered before, during, and after). They hit pretty hard, with only some well placed safety gear.
