For those with friends who are season ticket holders or Hokie Club members.
I apologize if this has been covered already, but I know that some TKP'ers have been asking about anOSU ticket. Hokies just announced a 3 game home ticket plan for $250 that includes an opening game ticket. I personally like the NCState package too. 2 night games in Lane, plus a bonus conference game for $250, yes please.
I will drink if this is a repost.

Not necessarily a re-post, but I posted this a few minutes ago on the 2015 ticket exchange thread. You can drink if you want.

Drink. It has been posted already, but I think this is worth its own thread if it helps get more TKPers and Hokies in the seats.
The wife says we ARE pulling the trigger for one of the 3 game packages. Now have to decide which one works with our schedule and the kids.
Are you a Hokie Club member? If not you may have to enlist the help of one (or a season ticket holder)
I am.
I'm all for this, since it sells more tickets to Hokie fans, and increases the chance of filling the stadium!
So if my friend is a season ticket holder, but not a hokie club member, can he buy these tickets for me (since I cannot buy them myself)? Assuming this is correct, does anyone have the link to purchase?
He should have gotten an email and will have to use his access to the ticket purchasing site.
yes, he can buy them and then sell them to you.
Ok people with tickets where should I get seats at? It will be my wife and I and maybe a child. So would prefer to not be in the middle of students/people having too much liquid courage fun.
South endzone might be your best bet. In my experience it's pretty docile compared to the rest of the crowd.
Middle of East? West for the old fogeys.
Son of a bitch! I bought the full season on Monday! Any chance I can get my seasons refunded? Anyone tried to get tickets refunded in the past? Do I have better luck winning the lottery?
Call the season ticket office. Of course, you do get an extra 3 games for a hundred bucks if you just keep the season tickets.
Reminder: Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am.
Anyone else having trouble even logging into the system? I can't seem to even get into any part of Hokietickets...
At the moment, the absolute cheapest ticket on StubHub is $300. Just sayin'.
So I'm in a pickle and I need some TKP advice. The wife has said we ARE buying the orange plan. Here is the issue she can't go to OSU game, is it better for me to sell both tickets or try and sell one and go myself? I need to get some money so eating the one extra ticket to OSU is not an option. Do people buy single tickets?
Yes, people will likely buy the single. You could always call up a buddy and see if they'll go for $200 or so. 100 bucks cheaper than StubHub for them, and you don't have to sit next to some rando who could even be a Buckeye.
None of my close friends are Hokies. My wife usually goes to games with me, I haven't seen a game in Lane since 94/95. Seen away games at Pitt, Duke, ACCCG, 2 bowl games since then. Want to get there this year.
Well there are plenty of Hokies here... Pull up the ticket exchange thread and put your ticket up there.
By TKP rules I can't ask above face value.
But looking at hotels, Roanoke has some good deals, just booked a hotel room.
Just an FYI face value for OSU is $110 soooo it is helpful. Just not market value.
E 29R 5Q 5-3
Got them, Orange package. Not sure how good they are.
I'm pretty sure that 5Q is the top row, but you are near the 50. So you'll get a good view of the entire field.

Really, shit why did I get so high up as best?
That's almost exactly where I was sitting for the 2009 Miami game and I personally loved it. As mentioned above, you get a great look at the field.
Yeah, my senior year tickets were in 5Q as well and it was a great vantage point.
Ok I'm trusting yall. Now I need to sell one of my anOSU tickets since my wife can't go.
Again, I'd highly recommend the ticket exchange thread. You can get in contact with someone there and then *negotiate* a good price in private. Ergo, no need to post tickets for higher than face value on the thread, no risk of sitting next to Buckeyes in the East stands.
I will, hopefully Joe starts a new ticket thread soon.
The 2015 thread is up and running: http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2015/july/13/2015-ticket-exchange-thread
Edit: Wait, you've posted there. I'm confused.
Somehow I missed that.
I prefer my firefighters to not be drinking on the job.
I loved those seats in college. seriously, we'd get 50+ students to enter the lottery and we'd always get enough tickets for the 20 of us who actually wanted to go. No matter were the seats ended up, we'd all make our way up to the top of the east stands at the 50 yard line so we could sit together and have a great view. Lots of good memories made in that section.
Is this watching the game student section or get shit faced drunk and piss me off student section?
I don't drink so this was watching the game student section. I mean, we had our obnoxious drunks near us, but most of those would do the same thing we did, but they'd head for the North Endzone instead of the East. I like to think we were just clearing space in the North for those guys to enjoy the game how they wanted and we could actually enjoy the football.
On a related note, a few of us go stuck in the South Endzone one game (really uptight usher or whatever you call them) and it was pretty awful. We lost to NCSU and the whole game I couldn't tell how many yards we/they got per play. It was cool to see running lanes open up and to know when a kick was sailing wide and all (nope), but I would take 5Q on the 50 any day over that experience.
Thanks for talking me off the ledge. I'm so psyched for this season. First game in Lane since 94!!!
Are these sold out? When I click the link I don't see any details on the mini-plan
They were going fast, I lost section 31 tickets in one minute.
I'm pretty sure there are plently left. There are still a lot of season tickets you can buy. Make sure you are logged in to your hokie club account.
Website was down due to high traffic. Should be good now.
For anybody interested, I just got an email that a limited number were still available (season OR mini-plan).
They sold over 1,100 mini-plans in the first three hours.
I really want to believe those are for mostly Hokie fans.
I believe it was Hokie club members and season ticket holders, at least officially.
That's correct. I'm sure a few will sell them, but the vast majority are legit.
Though aren't season open for public sales?
They are, but those are also mostly legit. There might be OSU fans in Richmond, NOVA, the 757, etc., but an athletic department employee searched the zip codes of people who bought season tickets. People in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland aren't buying our season tickets.
Also, if an OSU fan had already bought season tickets, it's really unlikely they'd also buy a mini plan.
I would then I could sell the extra OSU tickets to my friends above face value but lower than internet prices. Same with ticket brokers.
Just saw as well. That is pretty damn impressive.
