I mean, how is that different from the piece French put together following Reavis's suspension? I don't see how this is a "bound to happen" article. They aren't even saying "yep, we're just gonna roll em anyway."
Admittedly, I did not read the comments. Not sure what would be gained from doing that anywhere but here.
Well some people are, including one person on this board, but in fairness I think most OSU fans are being reasonable about this. Still I think they are falling into the same trap that most fans find themselves in with their replacements. Remember when we weren't worried about losing Coale and Boykin because Marcus Davis, Dyrell Roberts and DJ Coles were so good?
That was real life? People weren't worried. I was worried.
They seem to mention a lot of having talented depth that lacks experience and how those players will slide right in and be perfectly fine... seems like flawed logic to me. Experience is a HUGE factor.
Reminds me of when another talented backup with little experience, JT Barrett, took the reins in place of Miller last season. We all know how that went!
They won a national championship?
After reading the comments, ~60% of the 11W think this isn't good news, but they should have the depth to make up for it; which is reasonable given their recruiting. Did any TKPers change their pick after the Reavis news? No.
Some positions are less dependent on experience than talent such as DE and WR. Other times experience matter a lot, like OL and QB.
This is a good one:
I'm drinking the kool aid as much as the next guy, but 49 points?! Are you kidding? These guys are crazy
I like this nugget as well when talking about us:
Where exactly are we undertalented and lack experience?
Posters talking out of their a$$ is:

Bud Foster has experience in sacks. Perhaps they should look at the sacks.
Gotta love Bud's sacks.
Bud's sacks compliment his D very nicely.
Bill Swerski: Okay. Okay, by my watch, we're about thirteen minutes from game time. As you are sure aware, Da Hokies are getting ready for the big Labor Day game against Da Ohio State Buckeyes. Now, lets go around the room for some predictions. Pat?
Pat Arnold: Da Hokies, 62 to 3.
Bill Swerski: Okay. Todd.
Todd O'Conner: Hokies. 79-zip.
Winning the Natty with your third string QB will do that to you.
I jus don't get the shortsighted mentality. If we had gotten smashed last year, then yeah roll on.... But we handled them last year. I'm not saying were gonna do the same thing, but reality has gotta be there.
The best thing about all of this is the added attention.
And every time you hear 'tOSU has suspended 4 players' in the next breath you hear 'Virginia Tech.'
Great PR for the game and it definitely adds more intrigue.
I just hope that our boys are staying focused.
That's the truth. I worry most about Tech when we don't have that huge chip on our shoulder. I know that we won't take them lightly, but I don't want a single mote of sawdust to fall off of that chip until we entitle ourselves to call ourselves better than them again in September.
Doesn't matter. Nothing changes. We still have to prepare like there is no tomorrow, and we still need to run a trap on the first play with Mullet Man pulling and knocking the hades out of whoever is playing that defensive end position.
Yeah, that's great news. Get to work.
