I do wish him the best. What was his major?
Kicking ass and taking names?
Awesome dancing
Recruiting as a recruit
I'd like him back.
Can't he just go to junior college this year and possibly come back
next year??? I want him back.
He could, but the one year of Juco takes a year of FBS out of his 4. He could go to ODU (or Marshal), sit a year, and play 3. Or 2 and jump to the draft.
I was really confused why playing a year of JUCO was worse than sitting a year at an FBS program, but then I remembered he hasn't taken a redshirt year.
I kept thinking "He's losing a year either way. Why not play that year?" and then I realized I am stupid.
He's not coming back.
I know he's not. Just wishful thinking...
I would much rather him drop to a FCS school for a year and then come back. Doesn't he have to sit out a year to transfer to ODU? They are a FBS school now aren't they?
just kidding. I know it will hurt to lose him, but as a fan, I just need to come to terms with the fact that we will move on as a program without certain players. On a related note, anyone know when Drew Harris is supposed to get on campus?
Heard he is getting here right before August camp starts! I think he's only 26 years old at this point!
Any update on possible lawsuit. Feel like he could ask for admission back from the lawsuit. The kid loves the hokies and it would be great to have him back.
Also, I'm surprised by some of his choices of schools. I know the ASU DB coach just followed him. I know it's far from home, but that would be a better chance to get to the NFL than ODU or Marshall. Plus, I'm sure he would like the ladies there.
Marshal and VT have become close over the past decade or so. Would be a good transition to play there, and they do send quite a few to the NFL. Probably as good a chance there as ASU.
Until I know what he did, how do I know if I want him back? I assume whoever made the decision that he shouldn't go to school here knows the situation and made an appropriate decision. No?
No.
I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.
Sad that he's gone, but no use crying over spilled milk. We can't judge, as we don't know the circumstances of his dismissal. He could fight it in court, but that would make it public. I'm guessing he doesn't want that.
Next man up!
That's why I'm wondering his major, if its engineering ODU would make sense. I doubt he'll have problems, a lot would depend on what Beamers opinion is, I'm guessing coaches network on this stuff
Hate to revive this, but in Reavis' statement, he mentions that he can go to whatever school he wants after his year away. For some reason, I wonder if that means he will try and come back to VT? I know some would say that a dismissal means never again, but we don't know what the stipulations and agreements were for punishment. Anyway, just speculating. If I recall, he even emphasized that. From what I can tell, he really only wants to play ball at VT.
CJ wants to play ball for VT he loves the coaches and players here. However he's not coming back to a school that according to his lawyer "wrongfully" kicked him out.
CJ will end up at Miss St which is like 10 miles from his JUCO.
I could see him ending up at Ole Miss given that our coaches have exchanged information with them before. IIRC, they have a similar defensive scheme.
Did his lawyer say he's not coming back to VT (I haven't seen him quoted as saying it anywhere) or are you just surmising this to be the case?
his lawyer never said he wasn't coming back but honestly once a school kicks you out there's no way to get back in. His academic record has a mark on it and if VT were to let CJ back into school a year after said counsel kicked him out it would be a HUGE slap to the face of the counsel.
SOO CJ will never be in the VT Orange & Maroon.
Good thing nobody knows who's on the council, so there's nobody around to have egg on their face
