McMilllian at KR with JC ohh man that sounds like a blast !!!
Mook and Stroman on punts makes me feel some type of way!!!
McMillian is fine, JC should not return kicks. It's not his forte. Hopefully he has a solid year at RB.
As always Joe you run the BEST site out there and you do it for free. Everyone make sure you are sharing the site with your friends and family. Keep this great coverage growing.
Dahman McKinnon 4.4 speed at 275... hand that man the football!!!! Hahaha
That would be quite the wild Turkey...
McKinnon listed as 6' 1" and 275????? That's not a Backer, that's a DT!!!
*OG
The information overload since 3:15pm has been quite the rush I must say
Harry Lewis at OL?
The ol' 4-3-5 defense.
I am seeing a distinct lack of Settle on the depth chart.
I do not predict this to last long
If he's 360 lbs it may be a minute before he waddles on to the depth chart.
Yeah, that's the worst news on this roster. Way too big.
Don't think that weight is right he made a nice spin move today during practice.
He had a nice move on the VTsnapchat but I imagine the coaches want him down to ~320
He was able to do that when 360+ at the HS all-american game. The issue is stamina so that he can do that every down. I have no doubt that he'll lose weight during camp and with the help of the strength and conditioning staff.
Honestly if they're only providing the two deep, I'd be shocked to see Settle break into that this year. Williams and Baron have given solid minutes throughout their careers and behind them you even have Ricky Walker who saw time and has potential.
Poor bastard that typed this up is going to be in for a world of hurt.
Was Peoples ahead of Wright coming out of the Spring?
nope.. went wright, adkins, peoples and roe....
Man, they must be real high on Rock Johnson. Number two at the boundary day 1!
Also, "ROLB" instead of whip... interesting
Indeed interesting. Different base defense this year? I could get onboard with having Vandyke on the field a lot more often. Could just be mislabeling though.
Why do I not know who that was and was looking for Adonis??
anyone else notice that hughes is our back up kicker? I mean, not a huge need for depth there, but you'd think if we had two kickers on scholarship, they'd end up being #1 and #2 instead of the
fourth down quarterbackpunter being 2nd string.Interesting to see that Coleman still doesn't have first string outright..
Man, all these years I thought you could only play with 11 on defense.. when, in fact, we've been playing with 12!
So that's why Foster is the best in the business..
ACC quarterbacks have been making this claim for years. But you just can't say it, you have to prove it.
Besides the Johnson and Hughes stuff, the backup linebackers are interesting. I know Foster really likes Huelskamp but I'm a little surprised to see him over Lydon, though I guess it makes sense given his experience now that he's healthy. Shegog and a 275 lb. McKinnon as backups too.
That Huelskamp slot caught my eye as well. That guy has the makings of a playmaker that comes out of nowhere. Hard not to get excited about rooting for him.
Like.
I thought he played tough at the 2014 spring game and was great on punt coverage until he got hurt.
BREWER AHEAD OF LAWSON???!!??
WHAT IS THIS HERESY???
Coaches trying not to tip their hand to OSU.
Lawson must be the fourth TE. ........ **ducks......
Casey Harman = Mystery Man
#ANALYSIS
Obviously that insightful analysis was brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department.
I think I'd like to see Terrell Edmunds and Riley swap spots
Spent some time making a decent little depth chart in PowerPoint so I could hang it in my office, update it when things change, and then...Joe got the real one.
TKP is too good, should have known better.
When I saw this was posted, my eyes went immediately to the Rover position. I remember reading that Riley didnt fare that well at the position during the spring (or maybe just not as well as Reavis), but can anyone tell me if they remember anything about how Frye performed?
ROLB and LOLB...shall I say, intrigued? We've always ran more of a 4-4-3, where the whip and rover are faster, better cover LBs...are we really running a 4-3-4? that'll hurt us on run defense...even if it cures the big pass play woes...how many of us had accepted the inherent risk in Foster's scheme tho? FRENCH! please man, get a look at practice and tell us if this is really happening...
Pretty sure we've been running more of a 4-2-5 of late than a 4-4-3. So this in theory would help us in run defense not hurt us.
Yeah, our base has been 4-2-5 mainly for a while now. The whip has rarely been on the field with the nickel usually taking his place because of spread looks with multiple receivers.
I really am intrigued about that depth chart. With 3 of their 4 top WRs out for OSU, it might be a good idea to have Vandyke on the field in the base look and try to take away the run game first with 3 LBs. Forcing them to throw against our corners with a lot of inexperience at receiver...hmm. Bud may have something up his sleeve. Who knows.
Yeah, as I recall the shift started with our struggles at whip in 2010. Combined with the increased prevalence of spread attacks and the role playing into the strengths of a young Kyle Fuller and Antone Exum, it made sense.
We ran a hyper aggressive 4-4 look (out of 4-3 personnel) in the latter part of 2012 after Michael Cole got hurt, but, as I recall, we were even running 4-4 looks out of 4-2-5 personnel at times last year with Chuck Clark and Kyshoen Jarrett walked up.
I agree about OSU. I would guess it would depend somewhat on how we feel about Vandyke matching up with their tight ends.
Yep. I personally would feel great about a 6'5" 215 athletic and rangey OLB matched up on their TEs and H-Backs. This could be interesting.
As curious as I am, the scrimmages are closed for a reason, right?
Ohio State isn't even announcing their starting quarterback...
Just sayin'.
Thus the birth of the ManBearPigGazelleAntelopeOrWhateverPlayedHisNutsOff defense.
Followed by the "Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh s**t" defense
Would be a nice departure from the Oh Sh!t Offense I'm so accustomed to...
Or in the case of last years ecu game, "When the f*** did we switch from black and purple to white?" Brewer after first quarter
But really it was just the "Shit offense" we are accustomed to...
That Dline

Let me just say...I feel pretty good about the ones (experience, speed, talent, power everywhere...and health, if the printer is to be believed, may he or she rest in peace).
Facyson is back.
some1 say bak?
facyson bak
Update: video of Facyson doing Facyson things, with the rest of the secondary.
Is that the TKP DBU shirt graphic in the corner?
HIGH POINTING THE BALL... seriously, if you had been at those first scrimmages their freshman year, you would have said Facyson was better than Kendall Fuller. And Kendall Fuller was damn good.
Stroman needs to sit with Teller and the OL for every meal.
Juice at 243???? Wow I remember reading he wanted to play about 225 or did misremember?
That would be a load to bring down!
Or......like 18 lbs too big.
Youngest Edmunds is 6'5". He's still listed at LB, but DE or TE is in his future.
Fox listed at RB. I thought he would be whip/rover.
Our starting D-line averages 6' 2.5" and 257lbs.....(ok. Eat Dadi!)
Our starting secondary averages 6' 1.5" and 200lbs.....(tall! That's some height. Too bad Fuller's so short. /s)
Our starting LB's average 6' 1.5" and 224lbs......(pretty big, now we're getting there.)
Our starting O-Line averages 6' 4.5" and 302lbs........(damn. That's getting Georgia big.)
The size of the o-line on the depth chart got me particularly excited. The hogs could be coming back to the turkey farm
Just move Settle up the depth chart and voila...280lbs!
Apparently JC's height and weight fluctuates between his offensive and special teams duties.
On snapchat, besides Facyson looking good, the best clip was Nijman showing great hands and feet in a pass protection drill. I like that. They need him to be good because they need a legitimate swing tackle. I think Pfaff and Chung can give some depth inside. I need to see much more than I saw in the spring to feel good about tackle depth.
OMG! Need to read TKP in 10 minute bursts only this morning.

Every post for me is:
It is "litrally" too much to take. Just love everything.
Where did the 6-1 265lb Junior named Reynolds come from and why is he returning punts?
One of the many typos on the chart. That's Mook, should say Fr.
