Nice write-up, Andy. Thanks. Sounds like a pretty productive scrimmage all around, and I am really happy to hear about Slye hitting a 55-yarder. He's got the ability, now if he can do it consistently, that will be something.

"Exit light..."

Maybe he can play a new hybrid position of Rover/DT?

That man can move. NFL first round written all over that guy. No way he redshirted. He will be gone after three years regardless got to play him now. He will play every third defensive series IMO, and any goal and short. Also 25 on the tackle is that Peoples? Quick thinking going for the feet on a man that size.

25 is Jerome Wright. Peoples is 32.

just because he weighs 350 lbs doesn't mean he's able to hold his ground as well as some of the current guys we have. We have some beasts at DT right now and timmy would probably be the 6th if not 7th man right now. Sky is the limit, but he needs to live in the weight room.

I knew the footage would make it onto the internet somehow. Awesome!

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

"He's got the lightest feet of any [350]-pound guy you've ever seen in your life," head coach Frank Beamer said. "He's easy."

I think it fits.

Gotta little dog we call Li'l Easy. She might weigh as much as Settle's right shoe. How's about we call him Big Easy. That fits.

I predict a fat guy touchdown out of Settle this year.

-- Quarterback Michael Brewer took exception to linebacker Deon Clarke getting a little bit too much of him from the blind side on one play. Clarke inadvertently knocked Brewer to the ground.
Brewer got up and starting jawing with Clarke, having to be moderately restrained by his linemen.
The play got Frank Beamer worked up as well. He gave Clarke and earful before pulling him out of the game. (I don't believe he went back in, either.)

I don't see the big deal. Sure you don't want your qb taking unnecessary shots or getting hurt but sometimes qbs get too used to the yellow jersey during preseason practices and it helps keep them on their toes.

I mean it was a blindside hit in a yellow jersey. I kinda understand Brewer not being happy with that.

On the positive side, it shows that Deon is already in Beast Mode. I don't want to see anybody injured of course, but I do like that our guys seem to be going all out, even in practice. Especially the Defense. Bodes well for the season, our teams have been at their best historically when they are hungry and fired up.

All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world
So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding, dang my dang a long ling long....

Our QBs over the past decade have more than enough experience taking shots, I doubt any more will help out Brewer's pocket presence.

Really impressed with DeShawn McClease. He looked really quick, explosive, always seemed to get something. He's listed at 177 but he plays bigger. Reminded me a little of Duke Johnson.

Haha. The coaches started running for their lives like they were in Pamplona!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

He has such a baby face, yet is built like a bulldozer. Gonna be great watching him under Fosters tutelage the next couple of years. Be afraid acc, be very afraid...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
