The Valpak Boys Are At It Again

Yes, folks, the LOLUVA athletic department has renewed their agreement with Valpak. Personally, I think it's a weak effort compared to the 2011 version, which was ripe for ridicule. How can you not make fun of this??

But the new one does have the whispy dream of a full stadium in the background....obviously they've figured out the less detail on those photoshopped pics, the harder it is to tell they're repeating the same 28 fans over and over...and over...and over. And give them credit, they didn't include a QB on this one, probably because they can't keep one long enough to get a good photo of them either upright or in action. A new addition seems to be the fine print at the top, noting that each ticket can be used for $8 worth of concession stand items. Which should be best used to wash out the bad taste left in your mouth after watching their attempt at football. At any rate, let the hilarity ensue.

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

i'm not sold that it's just the same few fans over and over...i think they faded the color out so much in order for you not to be able to tell that the pic is from a VT vs UVA game, and that 95% of the people in the stands are wearing orange and maroon

I know they aren't deep on highlights, but do we know if Severin caught that ball? The pic is from the Miami game (based on the uni combo) where he had 4 catches and 2 drops.

Honestly, am I the only one that enjoys when they do fill the stands? Not good for the ACC when you have some teams that can't even fill the stands for their "big games". We know we pack their stadium when we play them but if you watch any of their games on TV it is just pathetic. I mean even Kentucky and Villanova can put better numbers up.

Last year, loluva had an ave attendance of 39,320. That's down 15% from 2013. And at 64% of capacity of 61,500
Kentucky: ave 57,572, down 3%, at 85% of 67,606.

As far a P5 schools with a lower straight up attendance (not %) than loluva,
Northwestern 38.613 (82%)
Colorado 37,812 (70%)
lolPurdue 35,269 (56%)
BC 34,270 (77%)
Vandy 34,258 (86%)
Kansas 34,077 (68%)
Wash St 30,794 (88%)
Duke 27,291 (80%)
Wake 27,210 (86%)

Notice that 3 of them are in the ACC. (Wonder why the ACC tv deal isn't what the $EC's is??)

(As far as Nova, their stadium holds 12,500. Which probably could put every fan from every game not against VT at loluva in it. Twice.)
