I love big hits, but damn near half of those looked dirty/illegal.

I've gotta be honest, after watching this I don't know that launching yourself and leading with your shoulder should be legal. There's just so much potential for injuries, especially concussions.
Some of these are just downright brutal.
Hits like these really show little intent other than causing injuries, and is very likely to result in a concussion for whoever is on the receiving end.
Form tackles like this can still deliver punishing blows, but the intent is not to injure and there is little risk of a concussion.
Launching isn't legal (you can get ejected for targeting), but it's difficult to outlaw hitting with your shoulder.
I don't know how you can outlaw hitting from someone's blindside.
I suspect some of these hits resulted in penalties.
