In other news..every other OSU player that was up for an award won it. Nothing really to see here

ESPN: If we could hype the SEC and Ohio State any more than we do, we would need to bend time itself.

EDIT: Flipping through the article more, I found that Joshua Perry (OSU) did not win the "Ultimate Herbie" Award. Also, why doesn't he explain any criteria for these awards? Oh, because he would be ridiculed (more). I see.

Ultimate herbie, breakout star, most exciting player, looks the part.... You can make a case that too many OSU players were on the lists to begin with, but he only picked Elliot and Bosa which is to be expected.

"I thought the kid right there you're talking to right there played his nuts off."

An OSU player was nominated for and did not win in the following categories:

  • Ultimate Herbie
  • Breakout Star
  • Most Exciting Player
  • Looks the Part

Are we just looking for things to be annoyed about?

Herbie picked GT over Noles for ACC championship. He is out of touch doesn't he know it is going to be VT over Louisville?

Yeah that's the biggest glaring thing to me.

People are building GT up way too much right now. Just way too much. They caught lightening in a bottle last year and even with that, still needed a lot of luck with numerous unforced errors to even get out of the Coastal. Sure, they beat Miss St in the Orange Bowl, but then again, Miss St was a product of pure SEC fluff. I have a sneaky suspicion that GT is going to come crashing back down to Earth hard this season. I just hope the national media doesn't try to spin that as the ACC being back to sucktown because of it.

I didn't think Herbie was too homer with the OSU picks. Can't say I egregiously disagree with any of them.
