I have never sold my tickets to scalpers. That said, I regret not selling the 2005 tickets vs Miami. I was offered $800 each and turned it down only to watch Marcus and the coaches throw the game away. In hindsight, I could have taken the money and used it to pay for the next years tickets and donation as well as been home to watch it the big screen before kickoff or at least the end of the first quarter.
So if any OSU fans want to offer me obscene money, I will take it this year.

Agree, and I dont really like dealing with true scalpers either. I just wonder what the chances of extra tickets floating around the parking lot for decent prices would be.

If you want the best deal possible go through lot 1, cassell lot. That has lots of alumni who have good seats and will usually sell them to Hokies for a good price. I actually had an alumni give me a pair of tickets for free because I was a student

Small supply+high demand= high price. There will be tickets available, but you may have to sell a child to afford one. And with scalpers, you risk it being a fake. I'd go stubhub.

I didn't really realize how it came across until your comment...I was trying to make the point that you can't really put a price tag on human life. He was joking too, obviously, as was I. It seems weird that proposing the sale of a child in exchange for $ to purchase merchandise didn't phase you but the thought of someone trying to scrape up enough money to buy the child gets people all out of sorts.....strange situation altogether, really.

Yep, the bigger the game, the bigger the demand, the bigger the chance of getting a fake from a scalper. They are there, on main street usually, but I wouldn't trust them in the least.

Good point, but fortunately I have real season tickets so I don't have to worry. I used an old passport and a student ticket a few years ago before I joined the Hokie Club and didn't have a problem.

Exactly. As much as I'd love to be at the game, I'll be in downtown Blacksburg somewhere. The cheapest ticket on stubhub right now is $185. For that I can take all of my friends and pay for all of their drinks if I wanted.

If you're daring, you can go to the game pretty cheap after kickoff. Once the game starts, there will be ALOT of people dumping tickets.
I bought two tickets for $5 ea in Chapel Hill for the 2010 game against the Heels. My son and I only missed the first 3 minutes and they were great seats.
I know this game doesn't compare, but I bet tickets will be floating around for a little over face value right at kickoff.

What's a decent price? I wouldn't imagine you'd be spending less than $150 if not more.

Just out of curiosity, what is the going rate on a child these days?
Even though I assume you are joking, this is just wrong!

One Ohio State ticket.

If someone would just give me the 15,000 I'm asking for I'll part with my ticket.
I will undercut you for a tenth of that price.
I just got a ticket off of stub hub, the prices have been dropping because its getting closer to the game.
People make sure you check to make sure it's not a student ticket.
If you have an old Hokies passport though, that should work right?
There is a new security company with the contract this year, plus all the hype with this game I'm not sure you should chance it.

Lots of bars will have the game on, plus cheaper beer...

Hey, pal! Where we drinkin'?

I would not go through a scalper. Go through stubhub and pay an extra few bucks! Well worth it!
