And, because it seems Richmond games always have some sort of sound issues that could cause problems with the FCC....
ESPN sound guys pick up the Maryland coach yelling at one of his guys to "F-in' settle down!" Plain as day.
(Reference about the sound issues - back in the Timecop era, there was a Richmond game where, after UR missed a field goal, some random voice comes over the broadcast with an f-bomb. Sounded like it was one of the production crew getting their mic into the wrong feed.)

Does anyone else wonder if Lambert's performance at UGA will play any role in Mike London's status at UVA? If Lambert lights it up (or even just has a pretty good season), I sort of wonder if the AD will walk up to London and say, "you couldn't win with this guy?" Obviously, the supporting cast is different, but still, perception...

Saw a blurb that James Connor left the game with a knee injury. A little close early on for them playing Youngstown but they seem to be opening it up a little bit. 24-13 I believe was the score at half.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Man, that CB had the endzone pick and an easy 100yd int return to score another TD but wow he took the knee going 20 yds untouched, for those that didn't see it. Probably would of taken it to the house if he was on the visitor sideline cause I think his team told him to go down. Wow great game.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
The guys on the broadcast were saying that the NW CB who made that pick did the right thing going to the ground because "you don't know what will happen."
I know what would have happened. Northwestern would have been up 3 scores with :59 on the clock against a team that left their football skills in Palo Alto this weekend.

Wow, crazy end to KU game, QB was going for spike and there was a fumbled snap from center, QB went down on knee to get ball and he was ruled down and clock ran out. South Dakota State beats FBS team.

You know, when will an SEC actually travel to a non-conference opponents stadium? Alabama is notorious for this (other then PSU like two years ago). I love that we played OSU at OSU and now they get to come to Blacksburg.

Besides yearly interstate rivalries (UGA, Florida, USCe, Kentucky), I think Tennessee has played at Oklahoma, Vandy has played at Wake, UGA and Auburn have played at Clemson, LSU has gone to Morgantown, Auburn was at Kansas State last year...
Basically, you have half the schools traveling here and there, and half of them not. The absolute worst offender is Florida.

Tennessee is pretty good about OOC opponents. We went to OU last year, Oregon the year before, Notre Dame, UCLA, and Cal in the past and have OSU and USC in the future.

Those lids are trbl. Like they had a limited budget and just grabbed some spray paint at home Depot before the gane, you know, to give them some pop. Bet they were all white this time last week.

In my opinion, they look like a more costly version of our Foghorn Leghorns. Hideous and awful brand identity. Im not sure what's worse between the helmets, jersey player name text or the shoulder marks on the jerseys.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Their entire uniform looks horrible, IMHO.
Like something that was put together in my basement by my seventh grader.
The faux-leather effect of the stuck on beak/wings on the shoulders is too much.

And the guys with the full sleeves underneath have like 4 sets of graphics on them, and that's just from the jersey sleeve down. Looks like da U's recruiting letter.

So in all seriousness, do you guys root for UVa during non-conference games? With every other team, I'm always pulling for the ACC team because of the ancillary benefits for VT. No. That includes unc as well. I'll root for all other acc teams to win but to struggle in doing so. At least for Pitt and maybe gt. I don't like them winning either.

As much as I want an ACC team to beat an SEC team, Louisville just doesn't seem to be at the same speed Auburn is at but it is week 1 and I think Bowl season is what really counts. I missed college football!

There are roughly 3000 Vol message boards. Volnation is the biggest free one, and probably the biggest overall, with about 40k users. Way too cluttered for me. Volquest is the most popular and run by Rivals. Less people there obviously because its a pay site. Then it really varies. There are tons of smaller sites, Feelslike98 (a younger more crude/anything goes crowd), 3rd and Chavis (very small crowd, but some good info), and a few others, that could be comparable to TKP, but with no real media influence. I usually post on Feelslike98, mainly because Ive been posting with the same guys since we were part of the younger/more crude crowd. Its certainly not for everyone. We really shine on twitter though, thats where I spend most of my time.

I haven't seen that much of Hackenberg over the years, but at some point....he must have had a good game or two, right? He's stunk every time I've ever seen him

This is where the sanctions are hurting PSU. They no longer are under visible punishment so everyone expects a return to form, but there is still minimal depth so they are really no more deep then a G5 team with quality talent, so like Temple.
And fuck, a 75 year, 40 game losing streak for Temple, Phily is going to be more wild then is Rocky was really real.

Hackenberg could have been quite good. He committed to PSU for the promise of playing in a pro-style offense implemented by Bill O'Brien, and in his freshman year, he was looking like a world-beater.
But then O'Brien left for the Texans. I think it was a good move for everyone, as the PSU illuminati never liked him. But it does mean that Hackenberg lost his whisperer and it's been downhill for him ever since. It's also Penn State, so they've now cycled through all of their receivers and haven't rebuilt an OL. Akeel Lynch looked good early on.
I was texting a friend who went to the Linc for this game, had to remind him that ECU beats us occasionally, too. We usually don't look quite that bad when they do, though.

I know it's not over but PSU hasn't lost to Temple the last 38 times they have played. If we can win for another 27 years over LOLUVA I may be able to take a loss in year 39.

I was thinking the same thing. They could have done at least a blue outline. Doesn't do a lot of good to go on the road to the west coast and not have visibility.

I'm in grad school at psu. was really hoping they'd be decent. after this game newsome looks like and incredible oline coach and osteinspring is an offensive guru. literally never thought I'd ever say that. the o line had no push and offense just imploded after the 1st quarter.
Monday night can't get here fast enough

I was yelling at the tv -- what the heck was he thinking?? Not saying they would have scored to tie the game, but at least give your team a chance. Inept coaching right there.
Turrible!

Down by 7 and trying to get the ball back with less than a minute. It's 3rd and long, and the clock is already stopped. Yet, Petrino calls his last TO. So, Auburn then runs the ball on 3rd and long to drain the clock down to 4 seconds. 4th down, and Auburn can just run out the clock with a deep bomb.
If Petrino hadn't burned the TO (for NO reason), they would have at least had a punt return and the ball with a few seconds.

Honestly, been a Hokie fan since I was little but never understood my parents' hatred for ND until I really got into VT Football and I must agree. Can't say anything about Texas but it was a good laugh.

Even shanking it Wiscy is punting better than Bama. And Henrey doing Henrey things.
OT: I thought Don Johnson was dead? I seriously thought someone was joking the other day when they mentioned his new show. Like a few years after Nash Bridges went off the air.

Assuming Auburn's QB remembers what color jersey to throw to, and plays better contain defense. Kyler Murray showed some Vick-like skills tonight, and he's a more complete QB than Louisville's Lamar Jackson. I could actually see that game being really lopsided.

I have to say College Football Final is so much better without Mark May's negativity and Dr. Lou's constant Notre Dame love. Joe Tessitore & Joey Galloway are such a nice upgrade.

WatchESPN app allows you to watch the nationwide ABC broadcasts for free, even without paying for it through a cable provider. This came in handy for me last night when I couldn't see Alabama/Wisconsin
CBS puts their #1 game on CBSSports.com for live stream if you can't get to a CBS (like, say, if you don't pay for cable and your nearest CBS tower is outside the range of your antenna)
Now, games:
Auburn figured out Louisville early and took a big lead. Louisville put it together a little after half. That freshman QB was running like no one's business, he'll be a threat before too long, but he's still young. Flashes of MV7
Eat me Texas. They were way overmatched. Touchdown Jesus FTW! ND was looking very good today. Charlie Strong...has a lot of work to do there. The attitude just isn't there.
Penn State has less of an offensive line than OSU did last year and less than we've maybe ever had. What a dumpster fire. Temple took it to them after a slow start. Christian Sackenberg the Tenth. Ten sacks. Whew.
AZSt as a playoff contender? Not like that they won't be. I wasn't overly impressed with A&M, but thoroughly underwhelmed by AZSt.
Didn't see the LOLUVA game. Saw the score. Whatever.
BYU saying prayers all the way to a victory. With the backup QB. Maybe Tayson Hill isn't really necessary here. Nebraska's defense woke up after they fell behind. Heartbreaker for them, I'm sure.
Wisconsin put up a fight, but Saban's methodical bulldozing of their team was eventually going to come out on top. This one didn't feel like it was ever in doubt, even when the score was close. Henry is a monster.
I feel like the David Shaw experiment at Stanford is coming to an end. After Harbaugh left, I wondered how long the next coach could ride the coattails of what he built. I'll give Shaw this year and next to prove that he can maintain a program on his own, but it isn't looking good. Stanford is trending downward. Their game yesterday against NWern was almost VT/Wake-level inept for both teams. No one really deserved to win that one.

Also, I remember seeing it asked somewhere here before, but SlingTV does get you full access to WatchESPN. I did get the sports package in hopes of getting to see more soccer (the nbc channel seems to be little more than cycling and volleyball though), so $25/month gets you all the content.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Does it?! I have SlingTV but I don't have the sports package. Last I had heard SlingTV didn't get you all the games on ESPN3, but I didn't need to go that far yesterday. I did watch Alabama/Wisconsin on WatchESPN. I'll probably only need to go that deep if VT gets on ESPNU, but that is on the sports package with SlingTV anyway. Good look, thank you.

I watched most of the uva-UCLA game. The Hoos did a lot of blitzing, but the Bruin's qb, Rosen, got the ball out quickly...and my God is he accurate. The Hoo's hung in there for the first half, but failed to take advantage of some red zone opportunities (bad coaching). Bruins really broke it open in the second half, ...looked more like the Hoos just lack the mental toughness to hang. Anyway:
Johns looked better for uva than Lambert ever did. He's not necessarily mobile, but is an athlete and can make the throw on the run whereas Lambert is strictly a pocket passer.
Smoke didn't look that impressive, though I'm not sure if it was his o-line not getting any push, or if it was the Bruins being disruptive.
Mike London and Fairchild are horrendous play callers. FOUR MORE YEARS, PLEASE!

Stanford off to a strong start. /s
You mean Samford?? /s
I'm watching, but nothing really catching my eye until this afternoon.
Specifically Texas a&m and ASU.
UCLA beating the stuffing out of UVA might be entertaining if I hadn't seen it so many times before.
Ah yes. That never gets old though
Yeah, the early games are pretty weak except Northwestern-Stanford. The 330 slate has some pretty good matchups though
I'm really big on the Louisville game. I think they have a short against an overrated auburn.
Good start by Louisville /s
Looks like they stopped by the airbrush shop at Kings Dominion prior to the Atlanta trip.
Those uniforms... Woof!
Not as many games as I thought there would be, CBS not showing a noon game, ESPN2 showing tennis.
That's what happens when they put 25 games on before Saturday.
Yeah they loaded Thursday up
Norfolk State already up on Rutgers.
Norfolk state up 7-0 on Rutgers.
Beat you by a full 58 seconds. Bottoms up Fireman!
I think Richmond might be getting stomped. But it looks like they have a little flash in their helmet.
Random voice on ESPNU yells out DA SPIDERS as Richmond intercepts.
And the Maryland band was playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme.
Caught that. It was perfect!
And, because it seems Richmond games always have some sort of sound issues that could cause problems with the FCC....
ESPN sound guys pick up the Maryland coach yelling at one of his guys to "F-in' settle down!" Plain as day.

Lambert with the TD pass
Does anyone else wonder if Lambert's performance at UGA will play any role in Mike London's status at UVA? If Lambert lights it up (or even just has a pretty good season), I sort of wonder if the AD will walk up to London and say, "you couldn't win with this guy?" Obviously, the supporting cast is different, but still, perception...
Irrelevant compared to the anticipated record by the end of the year, and his contract.
Too bad. Would have liked to see him stay a bit longer.
Maybe, but I do remember being pretty impressed with Johns last year. If Johns is successful, I don't think it matters how good Lambert does at UGA.
South Dakota State 17-7 over Kansas. How did VT lose to them again?
Because it was a completely different team and the year before we started taking bowl games seriously I believe. I'm pretty sure even CFB stated that.
I don't recall ever playing this Kansas team you speak of.
24-7 now.
31-7 now, wow.
Kansas lost a ton of their experience during the off-season. Experience to a team that already wasn't good to begin with.
Set up for the perfect nightmare.
Many picked them to not win a game this year
OMG that was like so many seasons ago!
Top Clemson WR Mike Williams injured...
Carted off the field. Hate to see that.
NW QB came into the game and ran a keeper for 42 yds for a TD to give them a 10-3 lead.
I hope NW wins.
Pumped to see Louisville vs Auburn.
Richmond is taking it to the terps
Looks like Stanford went to the Mike London school of clock management. They get to use 6 timeouts in the second half now, right?
Looks like BC having issues with Maine, low scoring game.
And somehow we'll keep it close with them.
As long as we beat them...
Stanford looking terrible out there...
Northwestern looking better than advertised, but they're still only up by one score.
Stanford is just getting out footballed
Is what i would say if i was the color commentator
Now a two-score game.
Josh Stanford sighting for KU. Ball a little high but it goes off his hands.
ESPN just stated James Conor is out of the Pitt game with a knee injury... hate to see injuries this early but see what comes of it
On training table with ice on knee.
Saw a blurb that James Connor left the game with a knee injury. A little close early on for them playing Youngstown but they seem to be opening it up a little bit. 24-13 I believe was the score at half.
Stanford has been upset by northwestern
Man, that CB had the endzone pick and an easy 100yd int return to score another TD but wow he took the knee going 20 yds untouched, for those that didn't see it. Probably would of taken it to the house if he was on the visitor sideline cause I think his team told him to go down. Wow great game.
Welp, there goes Desmond Howard's national champion.
Glad I'm not the only one that was thinking that!
Guys on ESPN claiming stanfords issues were due to them having to wake up early. Seriously???
I've heard that on this site before when we play the ol' nooners.
The guys on the broadcast were saying that the NW CB who made that pick did the right thing going to the ground because "you don't know what will happen."
I know what would have happened. Northwestern would have been up 3 scores with :59 on the clock against a team that left their football skills in Palo Alto this weekend.
Just remember guys there are many levels of football today!
Currently watching the hometown Monmouth boys fighting to come back 24-16 vs Holy Cross with 9min left in the 4th.
Good hold over till Loserville Auburn.
Wow, crazy end to KU game, QB was going for spike and there was a fumbled snap from center, QB went down on knee to get ball and he was ruled down and clock ran out. South Dakota State beats FBS team.
Poor Kansas. Them and Colorado in week 1.
This Saturday feels so wonderful...football the entire day. ESPN is back to holding value on the weekends.
You know, when will an SEC actually travel to a non-conference opponents stadium? Alabama is notorious for this (other then PSU like two years ago). I love that we played OSU at OSU and now they get to come to Blacksburg.
Was thinking the same thing. "Oh we'll play at a neutral site...in the south....so it will be fair. And we won't play you next year either."
Kudos to OSU for the scheduling of a home and home or whatever it is.
Florida's last OOC out of state trip was to Syracuse, likely before any of their current players were born.
Technically, Vandy/WF was an end of season rivalry until Vandy chickened out.
Short rivalry between them, no?
Started in 2007, only skipping 2009. Plus they played in 2005.
Which would put it at the right time frame for me thinking it was a bigger rivalry. But it was made with the intention of being a rivalry.
Tennessee is pretty good about OOC opponents. We went to OU last year, Oregon the year before, Notre Dame, UCLA, and Cal in the past and have OSU and USC in the future.
And some school in the mountains that a few of us might have heard of.
Cant believe I forgot, we have West Virgina scheduled in 2017
Wow not a great way to start a game Louisville.
Wow, the Sean Glennon is strong within this Louisville
QB!Edit: Player
That wasn't their QB. It was a wildcat pass. Still awful though.
Im pretty sure he is a freshmen QB.
Edit: Lamar Jackson a true freshmen QB.
Boo hoos come out with new helmets and all white. Are leading 3-0 at the moment.
Taking surrender to a new level. Not just waving the white flag, but wearing it.
Those lids are trbl. Like they had a limited budget and just grabbed some spray paint at home Depot before the gane, you know, to give them some pop. Bet they were all white this time last week.
After seeing a little more, looks similar in color to ours for Monday night. Glad ours are fully dipped!
Thoughts on Louisville helmets??
In my opinion, they look like a more costly version of our Foghorn Leghorns. Hideous and awful brand identity. Im not sure what's worse between the helmets, jersey player name text or the shoulder marks on the jerseys.
Forget the helmets for a moment.
What about the Olde English script on the backs of the jerseys?
Thank you! Horrible!
Not a fan of the lettering. If anything it looks so small on the back.
I just want to know when Affliction started making football jerseys.
Indiana just got a delay of game penalty on the opening kickoff, didn't even know that was possible.
Louisville might get lit up by this Auburn team. Their offense looks terrible against a team that had no defense last year
You wanna talk about getting lit up, how about UT Martin losing by 73 against Ole Miss?
Tacky to put up 76 on an FCS team. Go SEC.
GT put up 69 on Alcorn St. They do that to some FCS team annually.
SO MUCH TO WATCH.
Lville- Auburn
UCLA- UVA
NEB-BYU
PSU- Temple
BGSU- Tenn
Xfinity Race at Darlington
ODU @EMU on their Grey field on ESPN 3.
Emus ahead 14-7.
I hope ODU shows those flightless bitches who is boss.
So in all seriousness, do you guys root for UVa during non-conference games? With every other team, I'm always pulling for the ACC team because of the ancillary benefits for VT. By that logic, I'm should be rooting for UVa so when we beat them, it'll look like a better win for us during bowl selection season.
At the same time, it hurts our recruiting when there's another viable winning program in the state of VA.
Actually, forget everything I just said. Fuck UVa.
I'll keep this short and sweet: No.
This is the correct answer in all games that include UVA. I'm pro ACC in any inter-conference match ups except those that include UVA or Notre Dame
No. That includes unc as well. I'll root for all other acc teams to win but to struggle in doing so. At least for Pitt and maybe gt. I don't like them winning either.
UVA never roots for us, so.....
They don't even root for their football team. You cannot really expect them to root for anyone in such an uncouth, poor man's game.
Yes
It hurts both teams to have a dull series.
See last years Miss St v Ole Miss
and as always Auburn/ Bama also Ohio St and Mich or USC/UCLA
L'Ville can't do anything right this game
ACC school with inconsistent QB play struggles in the CFA Kickoff against an insanely talented team from Alabama huh?
Where have we heard that one before lol!
Two personal fouls on miles jack. Announcers said earlier that UCLA was the most penalized team under their coach. Fuck you zumwalt.
As much as I want an ACC team to beat an SEC team, Louisville just doesn't seem to be at the same speed Auburn is at but it is week 1 and I think Bowl season is what really counts. I missed college football!
Auburn kicker just nailed a 56 yd fg with room to spare.
And Portland state topples Wazzu 24-17 the PAC12 is now 3-4 this week with losses to Hawaii and Portland St.
Wazzu was a 30pt favorite
Where is Pitts d?? Narduzzi being one of he better d coordinators in the country should be pissed that they allowed Youngstown at to put 27 on them. Wow.
I think that takes away the coach on the other side.
Bo Pelini is no slouch either.
He's not but he's also using Youngstown st talent. However, 3 and 4 stars aren't exactly beating the doors down to play there.
Pitts D should be able to contain them on talent alone for the most part. I get a td or so but 27???
Josh Rosen is going to be really really good.
Has the savvy of Luck. Similar skillset.
But does he have the neck beard?
I have seen more drops today than any day I can remember. I hope we don't have those issues.
Hopefully OSU does. They did last year.
BGSU is giving Tennessee a game, still in the first half though.
I thought Tennessee was supposed to be a national championship dark horse... /s
New $EC sweetheart, amiright? (ESPN hyping the game next year already??!)
Next year is our big year. We should be an 8-9 win team this year. Weve got a ton of talent, but all really young. BG has a decent offense but a god awful defense. Ill take a 29 point win.
Are we getting Tennessee fans on the site already? Anyway, welcome.
Haha, been here some since the spring. Ive known a few Tech guys over here for a long time. Just branching out a little.
Ah, nothing wrong with that man.
Is there a Volunteer equivalent of TKP? I usually like to browse/lurk on other team's websites.

Careful UCLA, you know it's dangerous to let an FCS team hang around...
What a surprise, a player named Fuller taking it to UVA...
PSU Temple is all knotted up at 10. Probably the best game on right now.
Temple with the Pick 6!
Not a good day for the ACC, probably going to be 0 for 3 so far in games that actually matter (UVa, UL & UNC)
True but besides Lville they werent very hyped teams, GT, Clemson, and FSU all coasted, and hopefully we cap it with the statement win.
The only one of those that probably had a realistic chance of winning was unc. And I can never cheer for them unless it helps us win the coastal.
Different season....same results.
All unranked, UVA & UL played ranked teams. Agree that the only team with a chance to win was UNC
Love this Rosen kid at QB for UCLA.
Josh rosen looks good
Jesus did Newsome go to work as PSU's Oline coach? 2 man rush gets a sack!
I haven't seen that much of Hackenberg over the years, but at some point....he must have had a good game or two, right? He's stunk every time I've ever seen him
What He is clearly a 1st round talent!!! /s
Agree in always wondering when they talk of how awesome he is.
Yea, I'm not sure I get where the hype came from. Former 5 star recruit yea but they showed the graphic he had like as many INTs as TDs last year.
The whole "prototypical" size stuff.
This Jahad Thomas has some moves!
I know it's not over but PSU hasn't lost to Temple the last 38 times they have played. If we can win for another 27 years over LOLUVA I may be able to take a loss in year 39.
Someone could shout "boo" from the Temple sideline right now and Hackenberg would go down.
I'm pretty understanding about uniforms, but those Lville helmets are in UMD flag unis territory for worst ever.
And.....I just saw the awful names on the back of the jerseys.
We are approaching peak bad clip art territory.
They look like someone monogrammed an Audubon Society tea cup.
I was liking the L'ville helmets until I saw the L on the other side. uva lids don't look to shabby. I have noticed today that many of the games showed a ton of sloppy play. Maybe osu out slops us!
UVA lids look similar to ours. I've seen some of theirs peeling. Something to watch for on ours. Highly reflective helmets don't wear well.
I think UVA's helmets would have been better if the V was blue, and thus visible. Also, pairing them with all white didn't really help.
I was thinking the same thing. They could have done at least a blue outline. Doesn't do a lot of good to go on the road to the west coast and not have visibility.
Interestingly enough, I think Maryland found a flag design that isn't completely horrible.
This penn state implosion is good fun to watch
Not gonna lie. I'm really digging Temple's dot matrix look.
Also late 4th ODU 31- EMU 34, could be a great go ahead score
Channel??
ESPN 3 only on the local channel for EMU.
Matt Johns won't be UVAs problem this year.
Finding someone else besides mizzel to give the ball to will be
Smoke made a nice play on that TD but has been pretty unimpressive otherwise. And they have no depth at any skill position on O
And I love it.
40 yard TD run for ODU to go ahead with 2min left!
Also love the Monarchs uniforms.
Johns has very happy feet.
'hoos lose. Good day.
ODU with the INT by a lineman to seal the win vs EMU. Took the lead for the first and only time with 2:005 left in the game!
Since 1941 was the last Temple win do we need to watch out for the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor now?
I'm in grad school at psu. was really hoping they'd be decent. after this game newsome looks like and incredible oline coach and osteinspring is an offensive guru. literally never thought I'd ever say that. the o line had no push and offense just imploded after the 1st quarter.
Monday night can't get here fast enough
I'm in grad school at PSU, too.
saw this and the only thing i thought of was "leeeeeeroooooyyyy jeeeeennnkiiinnnsss!"
nice though. I'm in the mpa program. only in my second semester I've got a ways to go. what're you studying?
IE/OR Mastery
My friend from high school graduated from UVA then PSU. It didn't help him. Once a Wahoo...
Petrino just did a Mike London lol.
Called a TO with the clock stopped on 3rd and 12 for auburn.
Ps that freshmen QB Lamar Jackson will light it up in the Atlantic division.
I was yelling at the tv -- what the heck was he thinking?? Not saying they would have scored to tie the game, but at least give your team a chance. Inept coaching right there.
Turrible!
Did... did Bobby Petrino take a page out of Mike London's timeout book at the end of this game?
GIG'EM!
Petrino absolutely bumblefucked his way out of a chance to win. Mike London must be on his speed dial.
What the heck was Louisville thinking
What happen? Was watchin the BYU Neb game
Went to a London seminar this summer.
I was breaking up a kids fight which then got the remote hit and the channel changed. What happened?
See my comment above.
Sorry had not refreshed when I typed that.
Oh I know, I wasn't trying to be snarky. :-)
Wtf petrino?
BYU HAIL MARY
BYUs #11 hugs the ref
Saw that. It was awesome ha ha
HAIL MARY IN THE ENDZONE TD! BYU!!
THIS IS WHY I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL.
I'm so happy I turned back in time to see that hail Mary!!!
Between Notre Dame and Texas Im cheering for the asteroid coming down into the stadium.
Honestly, been a Hokie fan since I was little but never understood my parents' hatred for ND until I really got into VT Football and I must agree. Can't say anything about Texas but it was a good laugh.
TAYSOM DID IT MIKEY! TAYSOM DID IT!
edit: it was actually Taysom's backup. This is what I get for commenting on games I didn't watch for more than the last one second.
If we get out of the first quarter and neither TAMU or ASU has scored a point, I'm going to break things.
Tamu poised to strike first
Almost, but not quite.
Thank god. The punt competition was tiresome.
Oh my god, byu's qb out for season with foot injury???
How in the world did that happen????
Ouch. Lisfranc injury. Being confirmed by BYUtv Sports.
Also had a season ending injury midway trough last year when he tore a ligament vs Utah.
This is probably a career ender :/
aTm return for six.
Vince Vaughn taking some Beamerball to CStat.
LOVE the Marcus Mariota Heisman House commercial.
Correction to a post above.....Youngstown st put 37 on Pitts D. Yikes.
I love NDs QB.
Dr Pepper Championship game of the week intro (bama v wisc) has a player tapping the lunch pail.
Saw that - solid.
Holy balls. Horrible late hit call against Wisconsin.
Not defending the call at all, but that shot he took to the QB was juat a bad decision.
Wisky gifted a chance and blew it. And Arizona State has decided to make a game of it. This should be a fun two hours.
TAMU playing the Patton theme, never inappropriate
Even shanking it Wiscy is punting better than Bama. And Henrey doing Henrey things.
OT: I thought Don Johnson was dead? I seriously thought someone was joking the other day when they mentioned his new show. Like a few years after Nash Bridges went off the air.
Well A&M apparently discovered defense. God help us all, that team could be scary this year.
I know it'll be fixed come Tuesday, but ...
If A&M was so damn good that people were picking them to win the SEC and go to the CFP, then why weren't they ranked?
Because preseason rankings are horseshit?
Haven't been in the SEC to get that stink on them they still have that "new car smell"
Auburn vs Texas a&m should be interesting
Assuming Auburn's QB remembers what color jersey to throw to, and plays better contain defense. Kyler Murray showed some Vick-like skills tonight, and he's a more complete QB than Louisville's Lamar Jackson. I could actually see that game being really lopsided.
QB play will hold them back
Kenyon Drake just did something magical.
I have to say College Football Final is so much better without Mark May's negativity and Dr. Lou's constant Notre Dame love. Joe Tessitore & Joey Galloway are such a nice upgrade.
Until they called Michael Brewer, "Conner Brewer".
????? I missed that one, must have been when I was doing laundry.
They interviewed Corey Marshal and Brewer and two anOSU players about the matchup. The name graphic called Brewer, Conner.
Oh, I saw the interviews but paid no attention to the name graphics.
Whew, yesterday was awesome.
First thing first, in case anyone needs it:
So apparently the KSU marching band made "the Starship Enterprise destroy the Kansas Jayhawk." Uh-huh.
link <-- NSFW!
Tip of the spear!

You'd think at some point, someone would say 'not to be a negative-nancy, but that kinda looks like a penis'
(Reply choice #2 was good too.)
No you don't. You know what you did.
Don't apologize! That's the most interesting thing I have ever seen a marching band do.
Just caught up with this. I just got up off f the floor. And we can't do Stick it In!?
Comment from the Deadspin link to the video: "SPOCK COCK JAWHAWK."
I finally watched portions of the Ucla game. Rosen is legit. We must absolutely crush the boo hoos at Lane North this year.
Definitely does not play like a true freshman. I mean he looked gooooood. Color me impressed.
Purdue's first play of 2015 is throwing a pick 6
Purdues cheerleaders or whatever they call them standing with the band are wearing jean shorts and tank tops. Do they even football, breh?
Purdue QB Appleby just threw a DE to the ground with his left arm while throwing with his right and it went for a TD.
Why do I feel like there are few more apt comparisons for Purdue to be the college football equivalent of Applebee's.
Now trading INTs. If Purdue loses this, I hope we are on our game and get out of there with a convincing win.
