@RapSheet #Dolphins got a QB, as Logan Thomas was claimed by MIA
Miami Dolphins must have seen the 42 points Logan put against the Hurricanes .

Nice! Good to see he gets another shot! Does that mean he will make the roster?
He may still be practice squad. He will at least be getting some kind of paycheck for a few weeks more.
It's very likely Logan makes the 53 men roster since Miami only has two QBs and Matt Moore didn't even played well in the pre-season.
Matt Moore kinda forgets what a football is until he's actually in a game that matters. Weirdly enough he does pretty respectable when needed. I'd rather have LT3 though, because he's a Hokie and all that.
Technically he's made the Dolphins roster because he was put on their 53 man roster today. But in the NFL that could change at any time of course.
Plus IIRC LT was on the Cards' 53 man roster all of last year -- and I believe you can only have 2 guys on the practice squad with 1 year of NFL service but not more than 2 years. So it might make putting him on the practice squad a numbers game of sorts. Plus the Dolphins have already filled 8 of their 10 allowable practice squad spots (which could also change too).
awesome--Logan Thomas coming to my team!
I just wish the best for Logan.
He gave it his all at VT.
Do you think this was a case where Arians wanted him on the practice squad but the phins swooped in and grabbed him?
My guess is Logan's arm was too strong for the receivers as you could see perfectly thrown balls bouncing off their chest . That explained why AZ got a QB with one of the weakest arm strength to replace LT.
He reduced the kids reps a week or two ago. Should have had the kindness to cut him rather than reduce reps and act like everything was just competition. Personal.
I think either LT or Simms would have been offered a psquad position....hopefully LT3 gets a dolphins roster spot ...will be interesting to c if simms gets a cards psquad spot.
Arians hates Thomas personally, but wanted him on the practice squad? Sure, whatever.
Arians reduced Thomas's reps because he didn't think Thomas was good.
Head coaches are supposed to manage optics. Well maybe not Arians as it clearly shows flawed optics he should have managed better.
Decrease reps to cut a kid...he plays big it makes it hard to actually cut him. Witness local reporters writing wtf articles.
No different than DC. Cutting a guy is complicated. Arians may pitch this as a practice squad assignment with pt to simms trying to help him make it or get picked up.
Bizarre situation and like gruden rg3 I don't think there is any love there. Doesn't mean you can cut him yet.
You lost me
Ockham's Razor suggests that Arians just realized Thomas wasn't good enough to be a QB. But I'm a fan of convoluted conspiracy theories.
Ace Ventura 3, with LT3. Calling it now. Wooooo. Also Ace Ventura is how I had to explain being a Dolphins fan for years.
As a lifelong Dolphins fan I'm totally excited about this.
Logan is just too athletic not to make an impact.
Just like Marcus Davis? Sorry had to go there, still think he didn't know what he was doing on the field...
Logan, however, was able to avoid the off-the-field drama
And no one, I mean NO ONE ever questioned Logan Thomas's commitment to the game, or accused him of loafing or taking plays off. Marcus Davis, indeed.
Maybe mrs tannerhill needed someone to keep her company?
Phoenix <-
-> Miami
sad face.
Welp
Tyrod on the Bills, LT on the Dolphins? Hokies taking over the AFC East at QB.....except for that one guy who won last night, he's still doing pretty well for himself
