Satellite camps
* The ACC proposed requiring any FBS school's camp to be held on the school's campus and limit FBS coaches and football personnel to working only at those camps. This is the attempt to end satellite summer camps, which have become common in recent years and drew lots of attention by Michigan last summer. The SEC made a similar proposal.

Meh, sounds like sour grapes to me because some other schools thought of it first. I think we should keep these camps and start using them. Some kids can't travel to all the colleges and by holding local ones in their areas we are likely to show we are interested in them and find more diamonds in the rough which our staff is pretty well know for.
These camps don't benefit any school south of the mason Dixon for the most part. The schools in the Midwest and mountains are holding them in the mid Atlantic and SE for a reason.
It shouldn't matter that only some teams benefit. It's a good move by those athletic departments. Tech should do the same but host its camp in Georgia or Florida

G5 teams probably see major increases in player turnout by having a visiting coaching staff.
The way I see it, these are just one more way for the rich to keep getting richer. Even if all conferences are allowed to do them, the cost will keep smaller schools from running them and the bigger schools will snag more recruits that would otherwise go to a local school.
It is literally only small schools holing them...
The entire point is that you have a big school's staff go to a small schools camp. SO Penn State will go to Georgia Southern's Camp. All schools have summer football days and camps.
then that's not just small schools is it? that is a big P5 school holding one in an area outside of their school on another campus.
I think all camps should be held on campus and be required that everyone that attends camp must also take a tour of university and a presentation on academics.
