Football season is upon us, with college games starting over the weekend and the NFL kicking off on Thursday. Most of you drafted awful teams, and I would like for all of you to find at least one person from your league to relentlessly make fun of this season.
It was a pleasure seeing/meeting many of you at the TKP tailgate yesterday, but I'm very angry at all of you for letting me get sunburn on the back of my calves (who does that?!?).
I got a new job (YAY!) which means I have less time to spend on TKP fantasy football write-ups ("YAY!" - your brain cells) so I'm going to make them more of open threads this year.
To kick things off, I wanted to list out some of my favorite team names from the dozens of TKP Fantasy Footballers this year:

Also, it was brought up to me last week that ESPN's defaults do not give fractional points. Is anyone opposed to me changing the settings to make scoring fractional in each league?

This is also a reminder to set your lineups, and make sure Le'Veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount, Martavis Bryant, Antonio Gates, Arian Foster, Todd Gurley, Jonas Gray, Brandon Lafell, David Cobb, and Julius Thomas are not starting for you this week.
Also keep an eye on the status of guys like CJ Spiller, Julian Edelman, Randall Cobb, Michael Floyd, Devonta Freeman, Breshad Perriman, LeSean McCoy, Duke Johnson, Joique Bell, Victor Cruz, Roddy White, Zach Ertz, and Alshon Jeffery.

After this week, they're on their own!! I just know that in the leagues where I had Le'Veon, I forgot to take him out of the lineup until today.
Here's some more useful advice: Start RGIII, keep 2 backup kickers on your bench, and never start the defense that is going up against the Redskins.

My reason for proposing it is that the chance of tying games is diminished significantly.
exactly. why not let all of the yards gained count? Not sure why people wouldn't want to get say 5.9 points instead of 5 for someone gaining 59 yards. I always prefer fractional points.
I say yes to fractional points. Frankly, I can't think of the last time I played in a league without them. Every yard gained should mean something for scoring purposes IMO. Can't figure out why people would be against them.
Alright, I went ahead and did fractional scoring. Nothing else changed.
ESPN is such a pain in the ass for fractional scoring. You can't just turn it on, you have to manually put 0.04 points per 1 passing yard and 0.1 points per 1 rushing/receiving yard.

I went against Gronk in one of my three leagues (not TKP) but I actually still have a good chance of being competitive in the matchup. Now if you go against Gronk AND Brady like Jugs mentioned....

Antonio Brown's garbage time TD helped a lot to make things closer in TKP league, where I faced Gronk. Thank god for PPR.

History Hokie does ESPN do score corrections? If so when is the deadline for that? A Jets D/ST fumble force and recovery is not listed yet on the score for me.
If you're talking about the Brandon Marshall force/recovery, ESPN has it scored in one of my other leagues. Maybe we have it set so offensive players don't count for D/ST? But assuming there's an actual issue, ESPN does stat corrections on Tuesday at like midnight.
No the other forced fumble the Jets got from the Browns QB in the end zone didn't score as a fumble or recovery for the Jets.

Yeah, ESPN does score corrections. Usually they're done within 24 hours of a game ending.

what a weird week in fantasy.. so many top picks played very very poorly..
