To me it seems as if any in-game, on-field presence of Hokie Bird has virtually disappeared. He's there for the tunnel run-out and then *poof*. Is HB meandering around the stadium in more of a fan interaction role or did he (maybe she) get relegated back to their place in the Beamer Barn until the 4th quarter ?
Noticed it vs. aOSU as well. Unless I'm just not paying close enough attention, but gone are the post-TD bench presses (why was this eliminated?) and pumping up the crowd on the regular from field level.

Can confirm the Hokie Bird was in the SEZ as well. Can't recall the timing but I was still happy so it must've been before Brewer went out.
He was crowd surfing the HTs for a while.
Saw him on sideline for cheers.

OT but this seems like as good a place as any to post it. Hat's off to both bands on Saturday. Not only did they sound great playing together, but we were in Lot 5 and every member of the MV's gave my nephew a high five on their way into the stadium. It made his day and I'm sure he invited most of them to his birthday party.
