The one here in the Myrtle Beach area is ok, I've been to the movies there but not for anything else. It has an arcade but it seems cheesy built more for the tourists. We shall see about the bar and bowling and any food.

I used to agree with this mindset but it really seems teams come out gunning in the rain in today's games, especially against defenses that like man coverage. Good chance to catch a DB or LB falling down and leaving someone wide open. Watch the double moves vs man.

Question about ESPN3. I'm overseas trying to watch it online, but my login is through Charter in NE Tennessee, where the game is on ABC. Will it be blacked out on ESPN3? On WatchESPN if I click on "Blackout map" it says "map not available." If it's blacked out what are my other online options? (I can use Slingbox if necessary but it doesn't work as well.)
Most likely. I have had the same problem when I was using my uncle's login to get ESPNU for past Hokie games and then getting blacked out on NC/SC games that my location was not blacked out for.
Download a good ad blocker and then try firstrowsports - I used that a lot last year but someone might have a better option for you this year.

This is where having a guy like Stiney on the staff is critical. The coaches and the players have full confidence in him, and I'm sure if Searels didn't have confidence in him he might have tried to come to the game even when he probably shouldn't.
This way, Searels can just hang back and relax and hopefully watch Stiney and his boys do work.
Not to mention Stiney was OL coach from 1998-2005, which were pretty good years for us. He is a great position coach. Hopefully this will be a minimal disruption.

Given Kemp's propensity for the short passing game, I'm hoping we can compensate. Fuller is a great open-field tackler, but he's by far our best coverage guy. I hope the other DB's can handle quicker/shorter plays.
He didn't finish the series after his PI against OSU and limped up the sideline, same thing after his PI against Purdue, yanked and limping.
Motley is the real deal. This has to be his statement game for him and our offense. That throw on third down in the 1st drive against an opponent we all know could compete aggressively in the ACC pushes the point. I just exhaled.

With all the improved skill players we've seen that we have this year, I'd sure like to see the ball in their hands a bit more often.
The "Motley the Tank Engine" offense just doesn't appeal to me today.
We've gotta figure out how to contain their mobile qb and find something besides a QB draw that gains yards on offense. Covering the wideouts wouldn't hurt either.

While there are some (a few) benefits to the running-back-by-committee, it doesn't allow any of the RBs to get into any rhythm. We never get to see if one of them has a big game in them like we use to see from our RBs (R. Williams, D. Evans, D. Wilson, K. Jones, and on and on and on, etc.)

I have. I have seen the defense be the strength of the team and the offense improve dramatically this year until this particular game. Even against OSU. The offense hasn't been great but they have scored 21 through 3. The defense has been the issue today but I will let you be the one to come out and say we should fire Bud.
Eh, I'm done giving Bud a pass until he shows me he can recruit better. I could be persuaded that he's capped by Frank but I've never been comfortable with the depth on D as a whole.

Totally drunk explaining this, but because there was no real possession of the ball it was generally "live". If we had fallen on it we couldn't advance, so we either landed on it with a TD, or kicked out OB, which we did. Now, if the returner actually HAD possession of the ball, fumbled, and it was kicked out then that would absolutely be a safety.

Your confusion may be the difference between a muff an a fumble. If the return man had controlled the ball and then fumbled, and it had rolled out, it would be a safety. The muff does not give them possession, so it's just as if AJ had punted it out of the endzone.

Based on where it landed the spot looked correct to me. The officials have missed a couple of calls either way, as usual. A couple of the bad calls against us had a greater outcome on scoring plays, which is bad luck. But I can't get with those who seem to be blaming this disastrous performance on the officials. They could be better, but our defensive coaches and players are responsible for our defense. They have been really, really bad, and blaming someone else is not going to get it fixed.
