TKP Fantasy Football - Week 4

Apologies for not having a post up last week - I had a busy week at work and then went to Blacksburg for a game that never happened.

Now that we're four weeks into the season, I've got enough data to run some power rankings! Here's the link to the entire spreadsheet (filterable by league).

An explanation of rankings:
Overall Rank: Average rank of the four ranks below (from 1-10/12, depending on your league size, with 1 being the best).
Power Rating Rank: Rank of the Power Rating, a weighted ranking stat that I found on the internet dot com. It is comprised of a team's total points (60%), average points (20%), max points (10%) and min points (10%).
Standings Rank: Rank of the team's W-L record
Weekly Breakdown Rank: Rank of the average Weekly Breakdown; the Weekly Breakdown is a stat that ranks how many points a team scored in each week compared to the rest of their league.
Total Points Scored Rank: Rank of a team's total points scored over the span of the season

With that explanation out of the way, here are the top 10 teams in TKP Fantasy through four weeks:

  1. Team Koma (Frank Beamer Conference, Overall Rank: 1.31)
  2. Dirty Birds (Sam Rogers Conference, Overall Rank: 1.63)
  3. Enter Sandman (Danny Coale Conference, Overall Rank: 1.75)
  4. Tobacco Road Infiltrators (Danny Coale Conference, Overall Rank: 1.88)
  5. Kuhn on the Cobb (Bud Foster Conference, Overall Rank: 2.13)
  6. Catticus' Finches (Vincent and Nina Fuller Conference, Overall Rank: 2.31)
  7. Team Needs a Name (Bud Foster Conference, Overall Rank: 2.38)
  8. Team simmons (VIncent and Nina Fuller Conference, Overall Rank: 2.44)
  9. CHIP CHIP CHIPadelphia (Frank Beamer Conference, Overall Rank: 2.69)
  10. Jim DrunkOnMillers (Frank Beamer Conference, Overall Rank: 3.19)

Sam Rogers conference may be the ACC of TKP FF. One great team and a bunch of middlers. I submit last week's scoreboard as proof:

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Which one is the "great" team here?

According to historyhokie it's Dirty Birds. Think of them as our 2014 Florida State.

My team is my shame...so many close games. So, so many.

the downside to the rankings is that somebody has to be #1

The nihilist marmots were great 2 weeks ago....

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

My team is embarrassing.

β€œI hope that they’re not going to have big eyes and pee down their legs so to speak,” -- Bud Foster

I'm undefeated and blowing everyone away each week... and am 4th?

When did I become Boise State?

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

You mean the RealDiehls aren't cracking the top 10 at 0-4?

I feel your pain. I have no idea how my team is doing, but apparently we are not in the top 10. I forgot about the draft so I didn't get to pick gyros (phone auto-corrects Tyrod to gyros, which is the superstar of the food world, so it works), which is what I will blame everything on.
I have yet to log into espn since i'm never at my computer and its too hard to do on the phone without the app. I'm sorry conference (whatever conference I'm in).
I might log on later so I can change my team name to Gyros Taylor though...

Aw c'mon man I missed the first 5 rounds and drafted the entire NFC North by accident but I'm still doing the damn thing!

I'm going to get back to it, I just haven't had the time to prepare before Sundays lately. It's been a busy year.

Leaves Jeremy Hill on bench due to lack of points... has a 40 yard game

with 3 MF'ing TD's for 24 points

Jugs loses by 14 woohh!!!!!!!

Any of the top ten teams interested in posting their players? I'm interested in seeing if there are any similarities/trends

All of the leagues are public, so people can look at whoever's teams they wish:

Fireman, I'd start YOU against the Bucs defense...

The Bucs D was ranked 9th in sacks, 14th in scoring and the Jags were in the upper 20's in scoring I thought they were a good bye week pickup.

I'm just curious, and I speak no ill of anyone...

... but what do we do about team owners that are very obviously not even playing?

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

I got very lucky this week. My team just absolutly sucked this week (56 points) but I played a team that clearly hasn't been touched in weeks (4 players on a buy and an injured quarterback).

I played that same team last week. That's who I'm referring to.

Talk trash about them and make them feel bad.

Dude You're Getting Odell has put up 127.6 and counting. Putting the rest of the Sam Rogers conference on notice.
