I agree entirely about the protection. The hits he takes running the ball are going to be nowhere near as hard as the hits he takes on a sack. But if he keeps getting hit, we shouldn't risk him further by continuing to feed him the ball.

There was one series where he had a hand in stopping every play, the last of which denied NC State a touchdown.
Wow. What a game from the defense. Outside of the front seven's lack of push against the run in the 3rd quarter, we looked stellar. Mook, Terrell, Adonis, and Deuce all stepped up big time and Facyson finally looks like his old self.
Motley still can't make the necessary throws when we need them. Multiple TD opportunities to Hodges on deep balls if he had any touch on his passes. With that being said, win or lose you have to love his effort week in and week out. He is gritty and I think he would try to go out behind center even if he was in a wheelchair. Thank God that we FINALLY USED MCMILLAN AND IT PAID OFF. Rodgers is old school and I love it.
One negative is that Stroman continues to be ineffective in the return game. He runs backwards right when he catches the ball, and he doesn't know when to call fair catch, go for the return, or let the ball bounce when he's deep in his own territory. Was hoping Trey edmunds or mook would get a block on a punt, both were close.
Lots of changes still left to make, but refreshing to see such a large difference from where we were 6 days ago

He said he would talk to the "staff" about the RB rotation and how it should work and it looked like he did. Either Shane finally got the Memo or HC Beamer finally said, enough is enough. I don't really care right now how it happened, I just want it to continue.
Notice coaches how establishing the run eased the pressure on our QB. With more time, the QB made better throws and his confidence grew because he actually made the throws. Hmmmmm.
