Prior to Virginia Tech's 28-13 win over N.C. State, the Hokies were 1-4 in their last five ACC games in Lane Stadium. It's time for GIFTORY.
When you go for a ride with your Dadi.

Ford's first touchdown; beautiful pass, catch and blitz pickup by Yosuah Nijman off the edge.

Motley to Ford, Part II

Third time is a charm.

Hello, Motu.

Pitchin' it around the field like it ain't no thing.

♫ Ah, push it
Ah, push it
Oooh, baby, baby
Baby, baby
Oooh, baby, baby
Baby, baby
Get up on this! ♫

Welcome (finally) to SACKSburg.

Teller, smash!

Adonis' skywalk routine shouldn't be anything new to you.

Adonis is already performing for the scouts. That pick would have been good on Sunday.
dang..you beat me to it..
Get him down in Charlotte and have him training with Josh Norman...
Good thing for us is that he can't really preform for scouts for another two years
Hopefully by then he'll have enough great game film to be a sure 1st rounder.

That Motu hit was savage!
Its pronounced Motopookoo according to Mack Brown
Which, ironically, is the same sound that Brisett probably made after that hit
That sound was Jacoby Brissett doing the Motopoopoo in his pants like the Florida running back that shits his pants in the Birmingham Bowel against East Carolina....

Oh GIFTORY,

Bucky was double-teamed on that big catch, and just ran right by them.
The offense is starting to swarm like the defense. Good effort on blocking.
"Teller Smash" Teller's pancake and Malleck's block were both crucial in McMillain TD run.
"Get up on this!" The help Motley received from his teammates on the second push of the pile is great. Before the pile is created, in the background you can see Ford and Malleck downfield blocking in the secondary. Then the initial pile forms. Then without hesitation, Gallo, McLaughlin, Conte, and Teller run to join in. Teller started out on the wrong side of the pile, and had to run around NC State player #4 before he started pushing. That's teamwork and good coaching.
Glad to see Motu really getting downhill and smacking the QB. No tentative hits there
On Ford's second TD, you can see three defenders that could have broken towards Ford to try and breakup the pass, but instead, they all cut back and follow Cam in the back of the end zone. Great patience by both Motley and Ford, and good job by Cam to keep moving as well.
The "V" in the in the picture of the guys with VPI painted on their chests is me. Here is a picture of us before we left our dorm for the game.

Happened to notice the girl isn't in the main header pic
She is the gf of the guy standing behind us in the orange jacket. She is standing next to him at the game but she is just too short to see behind us.
PLOT TWIST!
EDIT: I had to read that sentence about 3 times to follow it. She is the gf of the guy in the orange jacket who is standing behind the "I." Got it now.
grammatical structure: it'll get after ya
I had to whip out the 6th grade sentence diagrams to understand what he was going for.
lol I read it the same way as you and only with your explanation did I finally get it.
My bad guys. I rewrote it about 7 different ways and couldn't come up with anything worth a shit. I was worried if I just said guy in orange jacket there would be to many people to confuse him with
... a traffic cone? a carrot? a pumpkin? an air-traffic controller?
What are the too many people confusing him with?
Oh, syntax, how I love thee.
Also happened to notice that she is the only one with a shirt on.
Did you play golf at NSA? I played at Walsingham last year lol
I did actually
Thought I recognized you
I love the Adonis pick gif and the Motley-in-a-crowd gif where everyone comes over to push and they get an additional 10 yards
For the record everyone, that's a maul, not a scrum as every single TV football announcer ever will try to tell you.
on that pick I was so pissed we didn't get to him in time to get the sack...until Adonis hauled it in. I was ok with the play after that.
Well worth not getting the sack so that the announcers can stop talking about how many quarters Jacoby has gone without throwing a pick.
Did you see the reaction of the High Tech behind Ford on his third TD? Priceless.
I'm so happy to see that GIFtory is back, but can we talk about the first GIF? I've noticed that our defense has been tackling way too high all season, which has led to a lot of the missed tackles. While I love seeing Dadi hit the QB in the backfield, he gained 3 more yards after the hit.
Dadi has seemed like he lost a lot of strength this season. just can't seem to get the QB down. That or he is playing seriously injured.
I've noticed that too, but it seems to me that the whole defense is hitting high, which is NOT helping. Am I seeing things, or have others noticed this too?
Haven't noticed in regards to whole team, but definitely on our pass rushers and blitzing Lbs. Except for Clark, and now I would say Moto is playing MUCH better.
I did think the entire defense tackled better in the NC State game. Before that, I thought everyone was hitting high. Thanks for commenting. Would appreciate 3rd, 4th, etc opinions as well.
Dadi has an injured thumb on one hand and jammed fingers on the other, so it is making it difficult for him to grip during a tackle.
Where there's a will, there's a way...
See, this I don't like. Some people might say that an 80% Dadi is better than a 100% backup, but I haven't been thrilled with Dadi's play this year so far. If this is the reason he isn't able to do Dadi things, then I think the backup(s) should be getting reps - both to give Dadi a chance to heal up this year and to prepare the backup for next year.
But what if an 80% Dadi can still put more pressure on the QB than a 100% backup? Then that pressure leads to either a forced incompletion or even an INT. While Dadi may not be getting the sacks, the amount of pressure he's putting on the QB and the OL is still there. Whether a sack or an incompletion, it's still a loss of down even if it's not also a loss of yards.
You are definitely not wrong. I suppose it's just a gut reaction when I see us play a guy who isn't performing up to his normal standard and who is simultaneously hurt in one way or another. I mean, we saw the NCSt QB give him a piggyback ride for a few yards, and I never would have expected for someone to tell me that a QB was carrying Dadi Lhomme Nicholas around the backfield.
well he certainly made sure Brisset wasn't able to get the throw off while going down...
On the second Hello Motu gif he comes in low, but if he comes in high, I think he bats that ball down. Sometimes there's an advantage to coming in high on the pass rush.
Edit: Thanks for the GIFTORY (sung in the classic Bob Hope fashion)
On the pass rush yes. And honestly, in the first GIF Brissett could have theoretically had a better chance to get rid of the ball had Dadi hit him around the waist. I completely concede that point, but it seems to me that the entire defense have been doing the same. Apparently, I'm the only one to think this though.
Always break the QB!
No gifs of the NC State players celebrating after Mots had to be helped off the field?
I finally watched the broadcast of the game last night and the announcer let out an audible, "whoa!" when they showed this replay:
Unsung hero of this gif is Facyson's weirdly symmetrical celebration
Special K!
reminds me of this kind of.....Adonis got the air but Facyson got the form (of jordan...sort of....)
Could someone who is a quality researcher find out how tall #88 for NCST is and then use the image to see how high Adonis had to leap to get that INT?
He has to be 4' off the ground! Lord!
When they say to "high point" the ball, they mean high point the ball!
I looked up #88, and WR Stephen Louis is only 6'2". But then I thought, "that can't be right."
So I looked VERY close at the jersey, and I was able to make out a name that started with "G" and ended with "E."
Matching player: TE #86 David Grinnage. Listed as 6'5".
Oh my lord, go head Adonis Alexander
