Now that it we are in the purgatory of mid-season sub .500 hell, it'd be nice to have a the following on a TKP shirt. Is it time that such a statement be publicy emblazed on maroon and burnt orange shirts?

Thoughts?

Mission Uncomplished
I had almost forgotten about that enormous blunder.
No
Game me a chuckle but there are way too many people on this site without a sense of humor...
It's not about not having a sense of humor it's about not becoming a Fanbase like Miami. Being a VT fan should be about family and class, you don't take your displeasure into the public like that, you want to be a Sportscenter highlight for wearing that shit on Gameday like Miami is with those planes? You,keep your displeasure in house and advocate for change with the people who can makes that change the AD and the HC, period.
Frankly, it should not be the fans to point out that "every game matters", it should be the coaches.
While I think we all agree that we wouldn't want the shirt, I hope we aren't to the point where we just say, "well at least we still have our family atmosphere, our class, and our name that tune segment during commercials. While I do agree that we should never ever stoop to the level of a plane with a Wings advertisement for 3 shirts for $10 with Fire Frank Beamer at the end of it, but I want to win damn it! I pour way too much money into the HC, season tickets, away game tickets, merchandise, $5 sodas, $10 turkey legs, hotel rooms, and way too much time on here instead of working to sit around and say I love VT football because my neighbors in seats number 10 and 16 are so friendly that they just make me show up. It does make it better, but that is NOT the reason I go. Winning and a quality product are what makes us spend thousands of dollars annually on the program.
Again, I'm not disagreeing really with what you are saying, and I know that there is only one (two if you do count Frank) that can do anything about the product on the field. But please don't let us get to the point to where this is a social event. Unfortunately I think it has for some of the students already...but I don't think it's too late to turn the program around and get Lane Stadium back to where it used to be.....I do think we are running out of time though...
You think Whit really wants all of us to call, e-mail or stop him in town to voice our displeasure with the football program.
Plus, who are you to tell anyone what a real Hokie fan is? While I respect your choice not to be a fan who acts like this (I wouldn't act like this either), but I do not presume to tell other people how or when to voice their opinion about the football program. If you want people emotionally invested, you get negative emotions when the shit hits the fan.
So you think any behavior by someone calling themselves a fan should be tolerated? I don't. As for contacting Whit he has responded to two emails I have sent him over the last two years and others have said the same thing. What does wearing that stupid shirt or flying banners going to do?
Dude, this is all a joke, chill lol.
I think we both agree that shirts with profanity are not something either of us would wear but it is not up to me to decide what other people wear. There is a spectrum of paraphernalia for the Hokie fan, some is not pro-VT but just plain negative and not for everyone. Sucks to Be U; UVA Sucks; The Good, The Bad & The Ugly; Women at VMI, Whats Next Men at UVA??; etc.
As far as Whit, just because he responded to your e-mails (which I think is good) does not mean he wanted to do it or he wants to have to reply to 1,000 other e-mails on this subject.
My issue is not with the profanity, while its something I would not wear it's not my concern. Mine revolves around the fan base taking their issue with the coaching staff to games for the wider college football world to see for the recruits to see for the players to see. That is what communication with the AD and athletic dept is for to voice your displeasure about s topic regarding the athletic dept. what will people attacking the coaches or players do to help in the long run?
Everyone is already well aware of what is going on here. People wearing shirts or holding up signs or whatever isn't going to make it any worse.
dude you need to chillax.... some people just like joking around on here to make them feel better after watching this clown show we call Hokie football. No one here likes the fun police.
Agreed, its either too serious, no sense of humor, or the fun police
We don't need another shirt with an f-bomb on it.
How about "4 to 5 Plays a game" ?
This made me laugh, however, I cannot in good conscience upleg it as it has something to do with a program I vehemently abhor and oppose it's very existence. But I thank you for the LOLs nonetheless.
You wouldn't let your sister go out with that, would you? Or is that your sister? (Couldn't resist and reminds me of the UNC family pic from a few years ago.)
I know this is a joke and it gave me a good laugh. I'm confident our intelligent, sly, and witty fan base (especially my fellow TPKer's) can come up with something much more passive aggressive and that hits a lot harder than simply dropping f-bombs.
Of course...I'd probably buy one to hang next to my "F*ck U" shirt.
I'm still not sure where I stand on the "Gobble Gobble, bitches" T-Shirts.
I like it. I would take it a step further and make it a sign for the players to hit as they run onto the field. Note Dame has "Play like a champion" and we would have "Every F*cking game matters".
We could have a shirt that says:
"Every bloody game matters!"
cheerio
"Every Hokie game matters" would work as well.
I don't think it's something we will make, but I laughed at the joke.
(Buzzketball shirts are dropping soon though.)
Correct Joe! LOL!
I liked it better when football season was fun.
Great idea. Where can I get 2 for my kids to wear at Lane and elementary school /s
